Movie is a masterpiece! It saved the dceu for me! Like tros saved the ST for jaws.

Lol just kidding but it was a good movie. I say a solid 8/10. Much better than the crappy other movie and flash is done so well. I actually really liked the joker and want more of that joker instead of cringe 2010s rapper joker.

The cgi tho was at times very bad tho. Cyborg still looked silly. And some scenes were weird. It was like I was watching a music video at times.

The one flash scene where he saved iris was beautiful tho.

Wasn?t a bad movie at all. And I if they hire Snyder again I hope they don?t meddle in his work .

Also steppenwolf was very good. Much better design and voice. Felt bad for him at times.

Movie wasn?t a masterpiece or the savior of cinema like fanboys claim but it was a much better movie than most of the dceu .

Same rating I would give..I can’t give it a 10 and it never will be.

Basically this is Snyder saying “ I love Cyborg! “ And the rest of DC fandom as well as the young moviegoers who don’t follow the comics are thinking “ oh really..I thought this is about the JL “ :lecture

Just finished it and honestly, I'm convinced people going out of their way to dislike the film have no joy at all, certainly not joy towards these characters. You might not like the characterisation, but to get such epic scenes how we got in this cut and not even be excited by any of them? Pull the other one.

My hype was through the roof and it still surpassed my expectations, loved absolutely everything apart from Wonder Woman's monk chant popping up every time she appears, that was overkill.

It was epic on a LotR scale, the Amazonians chapter and New Gods fight was bloody epic. This film is like a mythological story with all the gravitas to boot.

Steppenwolf is freaking formidable, an absolute force of nature and has a character to back him up. Flash and cyborg were great. The action had so much weight and for the most part junkie XL's score really hammered home the grand scale of it all.

And personally for me, Snyder's artistic flare really bolstered this. Epic in every sense of the word, and a powerhouse in narrative. The chapters flew by, didn't feel like 4 hours in the slightest. Every character got their moment, every character had a brutal fight scene with actual weight to it.

The first hour for sure I felt like a little kid watching it, smiling from ear to ear. especially seeing the better version of WW after 84. Hype through the roof and I'm still feeling ecstatic after watching this. Absolutely loved seeing Joker and Batman together - even if we get nothing else, this is an absolute joy to have.

Execs at WB will be flawed by the response also. I'm not even bitter towards all the vitriolic people dampening the excitement along the way to getting this. It's released and been praised by some harsh critics and turning heads of others that didn't enjoy what came before. But aside from them, personally for me it's an absolute win and joy to get his full version out over the absolute travesty of the 2017 version, what an absolute **** up.

Not only has Bruce corrected his wrongs in the film, the wrongs of the film have been corrected. Excited to see what comes of this!

Not going to spoil it,

But one of the worst scenes in the movie involves Cyborg's father having a remote control, and deciding not to remotely use it. I have no idea what he was thinking. Completely ruined the emotion of the scene for me, since it made a smart character act so dumb.

You need to rewatch that scene, he does use it, it's a plot point.

Awesome to hear, looking forward to catching it over the weekend! :duff

Robbie Collin of The Telegraph summed this up, writing, "In a genre increasingly hidebound by formula, it stands as a monument to exceptionalism that itself feels exceptional."

When you get something as bold as what Snyder has done with the universe it will undoubtedly draw both heavy criticism and praise. There's been many CBM's which all feel the same and occupy the same space. Successful or not, Snyder is in his own world with this genre, compare this to any other Super hero genre film, you can't, nothing to compare it to. That's why it's being compared to LotR, it's operatic, big and grand fantasy. For me it works leaps and bounds, mythological characters receiving mythological treatment, incredibly melodramatic, turn off for some turn on for others, but standing by itself at the very least.

Jesus christ who are these idiots? You can’t even make an argument for this in the Top 20! It might be the best of the DCEU, but that is like barely beating the worst of Marvel. On par with The Dark Knight? Above IW/TWS/EG/SpiderVerse? GTFO.

I feel like I’m going crazy.

Well said..however I disagree that characterization was up to LOTR standards. Too much emphasis on Cyborg aside from fantastic action scenes Synder depicted WW as filler for conversations with Bruce/ Batman, Flash was showy but mostly comic relief, Aquaman ...oh boy where to begin.

The Amazon’s definitely standout moment as SteppenWolf and Darkseid

Boring depressing music aside from the WW crawl popping up .. overkill of slo motion and abundance of solo songs in sequences just keeps this being far from perfection

Is it good..it’s great..is it phenomenal..debatable

I have to agree with GaryPool. As someone who liked MOS, liked BvS, disliked WW and hated Whedon JL, I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. Whedon's JL was just a mess and the emotional element was non-existent. Why do I care about this Cyborg fellow? Steppenwolf? Eh. They payoff? Such a let down. Snyder's gave context to Cyborg's character that made me actually like him in this movie, whereas I almost disliked him in Whedon's. Overall, such a better movie that I would be proud to call my own if I were Zak Snyder.

Well if you reference Cyborg in that way, I guess Zac did his job for creating the why should we care about Cyborg accomplishment. My issue is Cyborg is not god but boy did they portray him that way in Zac’s focus :horror

Sorry, didn't mean to say the characterization was LotR standards, I meant that its tonality and its grandiosity was of that scale, a sweeping mythological epic, big, bombastic, melodramatic. Not comparing it to the quality of LotR, just by their filmic similarities.

There definitely could be improvements made to the film, without a doubt. But man, so much to love in it, so much to love seeing my favourite DC characters served with justice and sincerity. Epic keeps being thrown around, but it is the most befitting word. It's grand and artistic, and those same appraisals will be for others a big turn off. But again, there's clearly people going out of their way to want to dislike it. How can a comic book fan and genre film fan not find a lot of this film fun and exciting to watch? Man, I don't don't know, why do people actively want to dislike something?

Signed up for Now TV trial just for this, only watched the first hour so far but it's already a thousand times better than the Whedon mess

Agenda me thinks.....go home buddy

Snyder wanted John Stewart Green Lantern in the movie. Actually shot Affleck's side of it too. Studio said they had "plans" for John Stewart. Yeah, where are those at LOL

Let?s not bring marvel into this. Marvel achieved what no other studio could

Marvel shouldn’t even been in the conversation..and yes..they did and will continue too, MCU isn’t going anywhere and Hollywood is foolish to think so..which they know better...which is why they love talking about the MCU
