Neeeeeed Knightmare Joker. And Black Suit Supes. And Cyborg. And Darkseid. And Steppenwolf.

I wish Snyder set up the Knightmare stuff better. Just dropped it in out of nowhere with no context.

I think it was supposed to be something of an "ongoing narrative" type deal, across a series of movies (helping to tie them together while also providing thematic insight on the individual movies), sort of like the "Tales of the Black Freighter" of narrative-within-a-narrative of "Watchmen" (which we know Snyder is also a huge fan of).

Unfortunately, since the Snyder extended narrative of multiple movies got cancelled and will never happen, these scenes are forever stuck in a limbo of being disconnected and out of context.

Sort of like how Batman starts off the series being extremely dark and cynical (not the "hero" we are all familiar with), because we start off in the middle of his story arc, to be filled in later with backstory in other movies (showing things like the death of Robin). But since those movies will never be made, we're left with a nonsensically-dark version of "Batman" with no real explanation (though there's enough background details and references that the deeper fans can still connect the dots and make connections to other comic-book references to explain it).

Knowing Hot Toys, the most likely figure to be made would be a Knightmare Joker. They love Joker, they love Leto, and they love off-the-wall costumes - it's the perfect figure for a Toys Fair Exclusive. I wouldn't expect much beyond that.

Which suits me - it's the one figure I would purchase from the line (though I'd also be interested in a Deathstroke, since he can generically fit in a "Rogues Gallery" that's not limited to the Snyder-verse but that's never going to happen).

I've only got two figures from the Snyderverse - Armored Batman and Knightmare Batman, because I loved the look (not the movie) and how they are references to the comics. Knightmare Joker would be a great counterpart to my Knightmare Batman, and it'd be nice to give him a Joker in my collection (as my Keaton and Bale Batmans all have their Jokers too!).

I have this question for the DCEU diehards

Is the Josstice League Batman costumes a Joss design or Zach design

BvS costume and cowl is my favorite Batman costume combination so I was horrified when I saw the JL cowl and don?t even get me started on that tech suit it is complete corny B&R level of trash!

How HOW Did WB go from creating the most bad ass Batman costume and cowl (BvS) in Batman history to the worst Batman costume in Batman history (JL) is beyond me so please tell me that the Snyder cut will go back to his beastly BVS costume and cowl please lol

It won?t will it go ahead just say it I can handle it

I read it somewhere here but can't recall exactly where and what it said. If I remember it correctly (probably not), the original designer of the BVS cowl no longer works with WB by the time JL was in production. WB didn't want to pay royalties to the original designer so it changed the design. Again, it's a big possible I'm wrong with my recollection of the said reason.

Ughhh is that the reason they ruined such an amazing cowl and costume :slap

BvS didn’t look so amazing by NECA though yikes no wonder they stopped making 1/4 lol

Michael Wilkinson designed the suits for JL. He also did suits for MoS and BvS. He's a genius.

Both JL Bat-suits look good to me in the film.

I don't think Whedon knew how to film it. And it's a matter of taste of course but the 1/6 Tactical Suit figure looks great to me. The standard JL Batman suit not so much. And in that aspect I can agree with you that

life is good - but it can be better.jpg

It won't go back to the BvS suit, but you may be surprised at how good it looks in Snyder's hands versus Whedon's.

If it’s made, and I think it will be I’ll pick up the black suit Superman. Have to see how many other figures are actually made. I can see Knightmare Batman getting a re-release because why not. It’s something quick that already exists and a fan favorite figure. Could also see the new Leto Joker getting made. Darkseid would be cool, but I doubt he gets made.

I'd pick up the swat vest joker. I so wanted him to call batman "bruce" in that moment. If joker burned down Wayne manor, like snyder said, then he knows who he is.

I'm not trying to bust your chops with this, but if you can handle the narrative style of 2001: A Space Odyssey how different is the use of the Knightmare, really? And remember this is taking place within a five film saga.

I don't understand the claim that the knightmare stuff is being dropped in out of nowhere. I think it's pretty obvious and self explanatory.

I get keeping the legend alive and trying to hold on to whatever hope they have, especially in that apocalyptic future where his secret identity wouldn't mean much. Still, it would've been cool to see he knows. Maybe he always knew and never cared, ending his legend would mean the end of his "fun".
We'll see how much this is explored come March. This is what I'm most looking forward to.

I believe it was in reference to when it occurred in BvS. In a movie that was focused on Lex Luthor's machinations to have Batman kill Superman (with LL's identifying other super-powered people as a sub-plot), almost everyone agreed the Knightmare stuff came out of left field. I still recall opening night and everyone in the entire theater looking around with WTF was that??? expressions on their faces. That's the kind of thing for which test screenings were created. It was as if Zack was so excited about his Justice League plans that he forgot he wasn't making that movie yet. :lol

Eh, it doesn’t seem to have come out of left field to me. It fits in the movie just fine as that extra push and confirmation Bruce needed that he was doing the right thing of looking to kill Superman to save the world from a future that could happen if Superman were to go bad.

So in your mind something Bruce imagined in a fever dream qualified as the confirmation he needed that he was doing the right thing in trying to kill Superman??? Watching him explain that to Alfred would have been fun to watch. "But Alfred, it seemed SO REAL!" :rotfl
