I have not had a chance yet but I wanted to congratulate my friend Nanjin on this endeavor.

After the falling of the QMX ordeal I was disheartened, I felt that there must not just be a market for Trek, even though in my heart I do believe there is.

When Nanjin sent out his survey I answered with a bit of frustration all of those questions. I knew also how down he was about the QMX situation and I just felt that there's no way he could bounce back into anything official. I was certain we'd see him privately explore a figure here another because you just can't separate Trek from the man, the two will forever be intertwined.

Looking a the site, the team and resources you put together, securing the license and your passion and dedication to this it's truly truly impressive. Its actually exemplary. Thanks Nanjin for not giving up on these figures, one thing I can promise Capitan as that I'll boldly go where you go, if you make a Trek figure, I will be buying it. Bottom line.

Congrats and thanks again!

:lecture This...I could not have phrased this better if I tried.

Thank you Nanjin for making this possible...

DS9 is great, but I don?t see starting a line there personally. I personally would prefer just TNG if we?re going to get characters from that versus the TNG movies, but I?ll take what I can get.

I agree DS9 may not seem like the obvious choice, but lots of people have still been asking for it. And it signals that this will be a different kind of Trek line than we got before, and that we should prepare for lots of fun and unexpected releases. :D

I mean if I’m wrong I am, and it’s not that I wouldn’t buy a DS9 character. It just seems like it would be an odd choice for a first figure from a new company. I would totally be down for a Sisko though.

After studying the teaser gif more, I'm almost certain that the uniform on the figure is a gold one and that the red and blue are edited images. Therefore the likely candidates are Data, Geordi, or O'Brien. With Data having been a previously teased figure and having a major roll on Picard, that would be my guess.

To be honest, I was surprised that it wasn't a TOS Kirk figure as being the initial figure release of the company. (Preferably in his green wrap-around tunic...) :wink1:

I may be totally wrong but the way I see it, at least with these uniforms, it will be easier to release the different characters that wore them, tweaking for differences in character body types.

I am not a huge Trek fan, but have great memories of watching DS9 in the 90's and may grab him if that's what it is. I'm more into that era than TOS.

That’s kind of the beauty of a lot of Trek really. Minor differences aside it’s pretty easy to re-use the uniforms. I’m guessing that’s partly why the figures can be sold at the prices EXO-6 is aiming for. So really the major investment in each character is a new head sculpt.

My guess is it?s Data but at this point I am excited for just about any character even if it is some random extra on set. This has been a long time since we have had a new 1/6 ST figure.

Who wants to army-build Red Shirts? :lol

The bigger question is what would happen if an army of red shirts battles an army stormtroopers. Stormtroopers miss pretty much everything they aim at and for the most part the red shirts only purpose is to be expendable. . .

Much like the Rebel Fleet Troopers, Red Shirts have Reverse Plot Armour. Stormtroopers win until a recurring character joins the fray, at which point they're toast.

You're missing out on a lot of amazing storytelling.

Maybe, but I love the simplicity of the TOS show and its humanoid Klingon and Romulan aliens, and am not happy with the transformation of the Klingons et al. and the Enterprise crew costumes of later movies/shows. And I like the "young" Enterprise crew of TOS, Kirk, Spock, Scotty, Bones, Uhura... to name the bridge.

But I respect everybody with a different penchant.

And I wish that everybody will be getting satisfied with Nanjin's products. Anyway: TOS forever!

Looking forward to the reveal. Based on the uniform being teased, it won?t be a figure I would personally want, since I?m holding out for TWOK Kirk and Spock. But I?m eager to see the quality of the Exo6 figures.

I hope there is zero reuse of the sculpts Nanjin has had for years of certain characters. I've seen his First Contact Data and TNG Picard sculpt in a FC uniform. I am looking forward to all new amazing sculpts.
