Number 5. Yes the return of characters who aren?t onscreen together that much and aren?t even all together abd they all die. Great milestone. Bravo

Maybe I didn't use the correct term but what I meant by milestones is that it was a big deal historic event for the franchise not if it was good or not

TPM might be trash but it was still a huge HUGE event!

SW has 6 milestones with # 1 being the big bang of the 6:

1. 77 for the first time nothing else in SW or even cinema compares

2. ESB father reveal

3. SW SE

4. Build up to TPM (build up only the actual films never lived up to the build up)

5. Return of Hamill, Ford and Leia to saga (The ST lived up to the build up much better than the PT did)

6. Live SW (with Luke and Fett no less) first time on TV

Interesting. I agree with some that...from a certain point of view. :D

1. Lucas? introduction of the force and Jedi in ANH - I believe these two elements instantly set SW apart from all other movies in the genre.

2. ESB father reveal - Jye got one right. Still a reveal that?s shocking to Star Wars newbies to this day.

3. The Phantom Menace - People buying tickets to other movies just to watch the trailer then walking out. Epic.

4. The Force Awakens - Awesome re-introduction to Star Wars lore for fans and a great balance of old and new even though it was formulaic.

5. The Obi-Wan / Anakin fight in ROTS - The most important scene of the entire PT.

6. The Mandalorian - Nuff said.

Remove # 5 immediately lol

Let's not forget one of *the* Star Wars milestones since 1977:

Boba Fett getting his ass handed to him by the inimitable and far superior Koska Reeves, a brilliant move with seamless continuity from his humiliating defeat in ROTJ, cementing him as a fraud and a mediocre combatant, setting up the deeply nuanced psychological study of a man broken and exposed while caught up in the greater events of the galaxy, in the upcoming LiveJournal of Boba Fett, wherein he seeks authenticity for the first time in his life under the protective wing of his compassionate bodyguard and mother figure, Fennec Shand.

Who is that? Is that a female Jango Fett?

His clones come in different genders now!?

Take crispy Vader off my list? Outrageous!

You just wait until Wor-Gar sees that you have low ground Anakin on the same ranking list that has 77 debut and I am your father

Actually I have suspicions that Wor-Gar is a closet PT lover, disregard

Heres an interesting challenge.

Everyone must pick 3 things they hate about the side they choose as their favorite!

All too easy. :lol

PT:

1. Over-reliance on CG.
2. Jar-Jar Binks.
3. Most of the dialogue.

ST (I'll give you 2 extra lol):

1. No epic space battle
2. Forgettable designs
3. Space Leia
4. ******* Maz
5. Holdo over Ackbar heroic sacrifice

Love the ROTs anakin look to . Idk why but the longer hair and dark robes are just a great fit and work so much better. They were gonna give him a Mohawk , thank goodness that didn?t happen .

He looked very plain and like a nerd in AOTC but in ROTS I can take him as a full fledge badass jedi with anger issues. The design just works even tho it?s simple

Common ground again :)

I do love his look in ROTS

1. General Holdo, Rose Tico, and DJ - Seriously All the stuff I really hate center around those three characters in TLJ... So I will just make them all number one.
2. The Blade of Ochi search in the cave and use of item
3. The lack of a better introduction to the Emperors return.

:lol :lol

I agree that that duel *should* have been "the most important scene of the entire PT," and therein lies the problem...

;)

Yeah.. I stated my main issues with this duel in the other thread.

I did try and watch it through the eyes of some of the fans here and did help me enjoy it a little more.

Yeah, as much of a disappointment and missed opportunity that the PT will always be I never take joy in hating SW stuff so I'm glad that it has its fans. Sometimes just piggybacking off of their enthusiasm (misplaced that it may be) is still a lot of fun.
