Man I hate it when people (especially in this forum) claim with 100% certainty that that a certain figure or character is iconic/essential. Me personally, I love the prequels, but jar jar isn’t one of the first things I think of when I think of the prequels. My mind immediately wanders towards the likes of Sidious and Anakin, not jar jar.
Yup. Jar Jar is essential. Been saying that for years.
Hate it all you want, Jar-Jar is an icon of the prequel trilogies for the masses.

That's a shame. I did say one of the iconic characters, not THE iconic character...and I certainly don't think he's essential just that I'd probably get one.

Jar Jar is definitely notable character from the PT, but not in a good way. No interest whatsoever in a HT figure of him.

Hell a Hot Toy's Jar Jar would look fantastic not sure I'd purchase him, but he'd be great. Though in terms of cringy prequel characters Nute Gunray is my top want.
