SCCC Canceled

Without SDCC, will companies hold off more on unveiling figures/statues this year or just deliver them as usual but online?

For me, i would always look forward to SDCC (and other conventions) with breaking announcements on new figures and for them to be seen in public.

I kind of doubt they show very much this year, online or otherwise. They have to know they can get them produced which atm is a shaky proposition. You see just about everything getting whacked with large delays which tells you they don’t know when to expect product. Can’t see them putting up a bunch of TBD stuff just to get everyone excited when they don’t know when they can open up orders.

Well Chronicle are asking people on social media how they want products to be revealed. Also China will soon be up and running again so things won't be delayed too badly. Plus aren't fans used to seeing things delayed anyway? So this should make no difference. And surely anything unveiled this year won't be produced and shipped out this year anyway. If nothing new is revealed, there will be nothing to sell and ship out next year, so that's bad for business.
