It's kinda hard to call it newer when it's been more than a decade since that went down. I enjoyed bits and pieces of "Brand New Day", but ultimately I don't find the character that interesting anymore. The same way I used to be really into Deadpool, but eventually got tired. Some come and go and some stay.

Yeah, fair point, but BND was around, what, 2008 or something? The 10s are absolutely dreadful, but the 00s were pretty comfy. I started a quasi-chronological run of Batman waaaay back, one that I never finished because I got lost in all the tie-ins, spin-offs and such. Anyhow, it was really weird seeing how the Batman that most people know, is a mishmash of 80s, 90s and Animated. And the Batman that exists as the "icon" nowadays, is the 00s result of all those versions being amalgamized. Until, what, issue 300 or so, IIRC, it's all mostly nonsensical capestuff. It's around the 70s that the book starts to come into its own, and the 80s where it adopts its "classic tone". It just made an impression to me with all the talk of decades. How something that we consider so "old", is a relatively recent "creation". But then again, 1990 was 30 years ago...

Honestly I stopped keeping up with comics. I feel like all the good stories are gone and they just want to please people on Twitter who don?t read them. Also the push for characters who suck is annoying. I miss the days when the characters actually grew up and achieved life goals like marriage and children and passing the torch but that?s gone. Lol

Well yeah, obviously. Things went to absolute hell after the 10s. It's mainly indies that I keep up with, and one or two Big 2 characters mostly through the internet (winkwinknudgenudge) and due to habit. As soon as the indies in my pull list are done, I'm done completely. I've even cleaned up my HD from older stuff. The whole medium seems rather stagnant to me. It's just a few things from the past that I want to finish reading jsut for completionism's sake. But I was talking about how weird it was that most the stuff that people associate with Batman nowadays, the "always dark loner", the "PrepGod", the Post-TDKR mainstream "brutality", all those things, are rather recent.

Cast him in the MCU as Capt.Britain, Wolverine or Colossus. Or hide his face in CGI and make him Beta Ray Bill.
A guy with his physical assets and acting chops would be a huge win for Marvel.
He’d also be a believable Jack Reacher but the schedule would be too much.
No time for gaming.
 
A year delayed from its initial 2019 production date and now could there be a summer delay giving the current world circumstances :horror

I like Cavill. He was great in Mission Impossible the Man From Uncle. He could be a great Marvel Actor. Beta Ray Bill would be awesome as he is a favorite. I could even see him as Sabretooth in new X-Men movies.
