TOD went full retard with that raft and mine cart scene.

TOD one extreme to the other super dark and super goofy.

Goofy in a bad way.

Raiders is just right.

Rolling boulder and Ark of the covenant > Raft and mine cart.

This post is upsetting and very stupid... I have blocked the member until I decide I can forgive him.

After Joker in particular, BoP looks ridiculous... like something Peter Sellers would have been in 50 years ago.

I wonder if this will be the last (bad) breath of the old regime (mind-set) or can we expect more jackassery in the future?

Honestly if you have any desire to have that big screen experience again I'd just go. You can always postpone your first blu-ray viewing but once this leaves theaters (and it's already dropping screens pretty fast each week at this point) that opportunity will be gone, maybe for decades, maybe forever.

I thought about it.. Cant find anyone to go with me :(

But I am good with waiting... Film will be fresh.. With all the talking and reading I have done about the film its a bit too familiar in my mind.

What is jarring about them?

Yes definitely with regard to MCU Cap. Too bad it looks like they're instantly going off the rails with the Disney+ "US Agent" stuff though.

They connect horribly. It doesn?t take rocket science to see how inconsistent and badly written these movies were. Lol did you watch these movies with blindfolders on?

Eight out of ten are Disney. :lol

1 Avengers: Endgame
Disney
$2,797,800,564

2 The Lion King
$1,656,943,149

3 Frozen II
$1,406,474,969

4 Spider-Man: Far From Home
Sony
$1,131,927,996

5 Captain Marvel
Disney
$1,128,274,794

6 Toy Story 4
$1,073,394,593

7 Joker
Warner Bros.
$1,070,176,513

8 Aladdin
Disney
$1,050,693,953

9 Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker
$1,033,623,535

10 Hobbs & Shaw

Whew lord. When cartoons and a origin movie about a mentally ill clown make more than the ending of a franchise that was so hyped up. Welp! Good job Disney. Maybe shouldn?t of jumped the gun so fast

What's really sad about that list is that there isn't a single original movie. They're all sequels, remakes, spinoffs, or IP based. 2020 is no different from the looks of it. Sad start to a new decade. :(

The Dark Knight, which clearly bests these movies has less box office. So, box office numbers are not equal to quality.

BB only made $375. It goes to show how badly B&R hurt the franchise. I wonder what the expectations are for the upcoming The Batman movie? Joker made a billion, so I would think that Batman being the protagonist of the franchise should outperform the little clown drama. If it doesn't, it 'll be a little embarrassing.

Still a stupid and upsetting post ;)

Raiders > TOD

Always will be

Don?t act so surprised your highness

lol

Had Solo not bombed I would have been floored that IX made the same as a standalone Joker movie.

But since Solo did bomb the whole SW is unsinkable mindset sunk right along with it.

Good job Disney lol

That being said you have to admit SW movies have this weird way of generating income long after their theatrical windows have closed the 9 movies are in this perpetual state of profit lol

It might depend on whether or not The Batman gets released in China. BvS made $96M in China, and JL made over $100M there. Anything similar would be a huge head start for Batman since Joker didn't get to have any China revenue at all.

TROS took only a mere 9 days (yes: 9 days!) to make more than Joker's *entire* domestic total, yet it still might not catch Joker's global total because of the huge disparity in international box office (even with Joker getting no bump from China).

SW movies continue to lag very far behind other franchises when it comes to international revenue. The other big IPs typically get a 35/65 split (sometimes 30/70), but SW is usually closer to 50/50. Maybe they'll start putting Baby Yoda in every movie. :lol

Still, an R-rated movie without China $ bests a Star Wars movie (and the finale in a trilogy) really is a feat. No one here believed it was possible.
