Sideshow 1:6 Lando as Skiff Guard Figure

I gave up on it in 2018 when he was teased. Glad I did. I can now use the parts on other custom skiff guards.

I can't wait for this one. One of my favorite outfits.

I think this figure now showing up suddenly from the grave signals Hot Toys are about to release their ESB Lando.

Sideshow are trying to beat them to the punch. Same happened for ROTJ Luke.

Two year ago, I would have laughed at that price and sculpt. Now, with no sign of any lando on the horizon, damn it, I?m in. Once hot toys release their skiff lando in 2028 I?ll upgrade. Helmet on though. He can stand with skiff luke.

Also, snowspeeder luke was $270. This is a relative bargain.

Yup feel the same way. Price is way too high, but the figure actually looks surprisingly cool with some nice detailing, and plus it's Lando in a badass guard disguise. I'm also happy to see they added the holster which was missing before.

The unmasked sculpt is definitely too much of a bizarre caricature, but I probably wouldn't have used it anyway when there is this much cooler helmet for him to wear.

Yeah, this is a major question - will SSC be producing more 1/6 SW figs, or was this figure simply shown early enough that they got the signature from Disney to produce it before the license expired.

It took a year and half to even get to PO, and I believe this is the last SW 1/6 fig they showed. It's frustrating not knowing, but yeah - it would be sad if SSC was done with Sw 1/6. There's a long list of stuff only they will do.

I probably like it a bit more than you, but it's just unfortunate that these extra non-hat/helmet heads from Sideshow aren't better. Han Hoth, Luke Hoth, 2019 Luke Jedi, Luke Snowspeeder etc - all had "decent" non-hat/helmet heads that were nonetheless not good enough for a standalone display. You'd almost want them to cut it from the release and drop the price by $35.

Imagine this figure for $210 minus the extra head - what a great deal.

Might switch the head sculpts with this and the Sideshow Bespin Lando as I like the Skiff helmet look and it?ll bump the quality of the old sideshow lando up a bit...at least a placeholder until HT does their bespin version

Great idea but that old SSC Lando actually had a terrific likeness - it did suffer in other areas though. With a bit more sculpt detail and shrunk by 10%, that head (with HT-quality paint apps obviously) would be a near-perfect Lando.

It certainly looks better than any of their Luke sculpts, I'll give it that. And I guess it does sort of fit with his more ragged appearance during the Sarlaac scene, when he wasn't exactly looking his best.

The helmet surface does look a bit metallic in some pics, but it is supposed to be weathered leather.

Thanks for pointing this out, all this time I thought it was a dark metal helmet with rust throughout the surface. Now giving it a hard look it is indeed weathered leather. It looks like one of those old baseball mitts from the early to mid 1900s that have been used so much that a lot of the surface has darkened with patchy browns and blacks. So despite being incorrect my nitpick still stands, the Sideshow helmet looks too much like normal brown leather.

Yeah I'd written this guy off and wasn't really interested at all. But he does look pretty cool actually.

definitely more iconic with mask on than off. They didn't even really need to do the unmasked sculpt imo.

Not bad Sideshow. Not bad. Might be my first SSC piece. Would never use the unhelmeted sculpt but the helmeted head looks good.

$245 for a figure with two sculpts is about the going rate these days. The price isn’t a shocker at all to me. I don’t like it but it isn’t surprising. Like most SS human sculpts though it just doesn’t do it for me. Everything else looks amazing and because of nostalgia alone (I loved the 3 3/4 figure) I must own it.

I think it looks good but I’m genuinely not really interested in this outfit. I hope ssc does well with it and that it might be a return from them ? But I do wonder if it is just it was in pipeline so sod it lets sell it

I can't believe it... Theres no way i thought this figure was going to happen! Maybe one day, but my Jabba display will have to wait
