Just based on fan reaction to The Mandalorian so far and it being a potentially long running, nostalgia filled series with very cool characters and designs I?m gonna put my money on Mando being an HT honey pot for a while. I don?t think TLJ and TROS together will come close to the amount of merch this show is going to produce.

I doubt it . With season 2 already shooting and the incredible reaction from what seems like all fans and vast array of stuff already seen in 3 episodes, i think more figures will come from the series ..its a SW gold mine .
The film will be liked by newer fans maybe ..youngsters..but they wont be forking out for HT figures. Honestly believe the film will be a flop with those who think it'll redeem ep 8. That 30 seconds clip released yesterday ..' they fly now' ...well...

In retrospect, it was a terrible idea by Disney to release The Mandalorian a month before Episode IX. I'm sure they were thinking the hype created by The Mandalorian would lead into TROS. However, it seems to have had the opposite effect. I can't remember the last time there was such little hype leading into a Star Wars movie. The standard we've seen so far in The Mandalorian has set the bar so high that it's almost impossible for TROS to compete. The hype created by The Mandalorian has already spilled over into toys. Just look how many people are demanding Baby Yoda, after only 3 episodes. No-one seems to be begging for a Zori Bliss or Space Horse.

I'm sure I'll be excited for E9 when I go see it, probably the night before and the morning of that day. For now, I'm focused on the Mandalorian. I hope to see another 3-5 figures for this season.

Looks like any Baby Yoda figures will take a while longer. Actually matches with timing we would have at work for plastic injected steel moulds. Around 4 months plus tuning etc. And Funko Pop are usually one of the fastest getting product to market.

Perhaps Beskar version will be Season 2. Wonder if Baby Yoda will be still with him in Season 2 ??? I would doubt it actually, he's not a "Babysitter-lorian".

Faverau did however make sure Hot Toys made the Heavy Mando though. I would have done the same !

I love Gina Carano and I liked her character. I'll need to see more from her to determine if she's worthy of an HT purchase. And about all the secrecy around Baby Yoda, why couldn't they have just had a "Baby Yoda" ready to release as part of a Star Wars kiddie line with no indication it was from the Mandalorian. Whoever said they missed a goldmine opportunity around the holidays was spot-on....

Not likely, but 'till the end of SS1 we'd probably see some new additions for The Mandalorian.

Here hoping for a Scout trooper/bike + Meth Krennic.

If she's going to be a one-time guest star, that's one thing. If she recurs - and I honestly thought she'd be around a while, but I guess not...? - that's quite another and I'd probably be interested.

Of course they're making heavy armor guy, and he was not present that much; but was extremely cool I admit. That sort of thing is what HT does best, heavily armored people.

I read somewhere she was involved in Season 2 shooting, so she must be more than a one time guest star. Maybe HT will wait until next season for her ?

On the other hand depending on the next episodes she could also be involved ?? What I'm really hoping is one of the characters has some sort of interaction with baby Yoda so he could be released with that character. But I guess if we want the floating crib then it can only be the Mandalorian full Beskar version.

Not everyone wants to know what each upcoming episode will feature before seeing it. It nice to be surprised about certain and not have someone spoiling it. People shouldn't have to avoid Mandalorian threads until the season is over.
