Hot Toys Avengers: Infinity War 1/6th Hulkbuster 2.0 Collectible Figure

I’d argue that the Hulkbuster 1.0 is basically a Power Pose figure since the articulation is so limited by the gimmick design choice. Honestly, who displays their Hulkbuster with a Diecast figure in it to actually take advantage of that?

It was a bad decision that not only delayed the figure by minimally a year, but doesn’t improve how the figure displays. It’s only really an advantage as a talking point.

I definitely don't display it with the 43 inside [emoji38].

The bust of the 43 that came with HB is more than good enough if I wanted to change it up. It even lights up!

So yeah, I'm good with HB 2.0. If it came with a swap out arm for a repulsor blast pose that would be great, but I'm happy with it as is. I like that it uses AAAs so I can just recharge the ones I have rather than worry about cell batteries.

Just cracked the lid back on this one. It’s ok, I got it for a great price and it’s more of a check box for me. There is no comparison to the first hulkbuster with this 2.0. It is literally a hulking creaky piece of plastic with good weathering paint. The paint is the only thing that saves this from being a dud for me.

If someone saw it on the shelf, with the sheer size it has presence. Pick it up, play around with the arms, head and waste a bit and that will really cheapen the experience as you hold it.

The piece photographs very well with the paint detail, it’s a serviceable alternative for those that do not want the original but it’s nowhere in the league of the first release. Not worth full price, this might sit a bit after more reviews come out and can be had for much lower price.

I definitely want as IW is my fave MCU movie so far and want to buy the whole line but I can't pay full price for it so I hope I can get it at a discount later on.

I finally got this guy picked up from his UPS store home and opened it up. I’m going to be the dissenter and say this thing is freaking amazing. Caveat for the following opinion: I don’t have the original HB and I never put batteries in my Iron Man figures (all 30 of them) due to having hands that weren’t designed to manipulate batteries that small.

Opened up the box, WOW this thing is massive. The box itself is gorgeous as well. While it doesn’t compare to the level of detail on a regular MMS release, it’s still well crafted and incredible well painted. I don’t think it feels bad in hand, and frankly once it gets set up it’ll probably never be touched except to move it again. Maybe I’m just not picky. I get it pulled out of the box and damn this thing is an attention grabber. I look at the instructions, hallelujah triple A batteries and only one compartment. I open it up, place them and flip the switch. Nothing. Sadness. I don’t want to have to pay to ship this guy back... look closer, oh my lack of coffee brain put a battery in backwards. As soon as the connections meet BAM this thing lights up like a Christmas tree. I immediately flip him around and take it all in. The lights are bright, vibrant and EVERYWHERE.

Just being able to flip all the lights on with one switch makes this one of my favorite pieces. Do I wish he was better articulated? Of course. Did I want to pay $1,000 for the ability? Absolutely not. Now I just have to find a place to put him.

Nice pic man. I feel like despite a lot of the criticism this will be sought after once its sold out. If nothing else because of the infinity war/ iron man completists out there.

I have no idea if it will become more desirable or not, but I’m glad I have him in my collection. I prefer bigger figures, and HB 2.0 is big. I see him as a pretty good value too, considering it’s less that half as expensive as HB 1.0 and has about the same amount articulation. [emoji12]

I have it displayed in the open. It's in a room that no one goes in except for one night a week or so, so i'm not overly concerned about dust or damage.

I dont think anybody here can solve your space problem..

End of the day, I dont see how dust can damage the figure considering there are other things in the house that has dust accumulating on it and they dont get damaged.

I just clean mine every few months with a microfiber and makeup brushes. It works well.

I have most of my figures in 14 Detolfs, but honestly, they do look better in the open.
