This will be the last delay, as it probably will arrive around late June earliest, and I’m still hyped about this.
Same here. Just got shipping cost to pay at sideshow. Thinking 30 dollars but don't know first 1/4 scale hot toy

Wow, that is surprising... yet not really, based on the reviews.
Figured the regular would go back on at some point, but the EX?

It's not surprising because some probably decided there's better things to spend than this figure, or they ordered something better and decided to cancel this as an example the bermejo joker just preordered recently, so it can be that, or they just got tired of the final delay email and said screw it, i'll just keep my cash for something better.

Where is a better Ledger Joker? Not a fan of the P1 1/2, and other than the Enterbay what else comes close for 1/4 or larger?

I cant help but shake my head by how much people are influenced by other people's opinions on these things. Deanknight gave us his opinion and expressed his concerns on this 1/4 joker figure and I saw most comments agreed with his opinion which is fine, to each his own. After his review video came out, I read quite a few people cancelled their preorders which I do believe because I joined the exclusive waitlist on SS last week and it converted after Dean's video dropped... In the video where he shows different variations of poses alot of those comments have a change of heart and are now "in love" with this figure[emoji849]. Justin got alot of hate because he actually had positive things to say about it. I mean, just wait til the figure is in your hands to judge for yourself. Most pics and videos dont do it justice. I've been excited for this figure for a while, yeah there may be a couple of flaws here and there but not once was I ever swayed by another person's opinions (good or bad) because I wait until i see it in person to make that decision. Take the HT ironman MK 50, positive reviews, etc... now that someone pointed out the "thigh gap" that's all everyone is talking about and a few people have now cancelled their order or are selling it. I dont know.... Anyway, overall i always thought and still think the 1/4 scale Heather ledger damn awesome figure and I'm sure some of those people who cancelled their preorder(thank you by the way becuase I was able to secure an exclusive version[emoji6]) are or will be secretly kicking themselves in the a$$ .

Good post, but this is always the way with new releases.
The same people will be crying that they can’t get it for a fair price in a couple of weeks or a month.
I’m with you on this, this was an instant pre order on day one for me & im still stoked about getting it.
If I get a figure that iv looked forward to and it ends up being disappointing or I grow bored of it, i can usually tell pretty quickly and I just sell it.
Majority of time I break even at least or make a profit

I mean, I own quite a few figures which are underwhelming from the box until you set them up properly and get them posed. It's hardly anything new yet people always fall for it still.

For me I'm bloody excited. I think the portrait is Heath through and through, the hair is a bit of a letdown and shame and it's a shame we didn't get a second different sculpt. However, don't order the one with the same sculpt, problem sorted, if you like the figure but not the hair get it custom done, if you don't like the figure, get Enterbay. At some point the nitpicking for me just becomes weird to the point of people actively trying to dislike it.

I can probably pick up any Hot Toy next to me and have wants and wishes and should haves and should nots. Hair should be this way or that. Every figure I own the colour isn'y really exact to the film in some parts or overall, so the problem with the coat for me is asinine.

Is this the best representation of TDK Joker? For me, hell yes at this price point.

Probably the best example of a figure that looks dorky af and not right out of the box and then an absolute beast posed is BvS Batman. Some figures just need to be posed a certain way before you can say, yes, that's actually nailed it.

Day one excited today excited that it’s almost here, never had anyone get me to either like or hate, I’ve always wanted a 1/4 joker dark knight and finally am getting this. Agreed with post above some peeps gonna be angry they cancelled or never ordered it at all.

Not sure it's the best representation of TDK Joker. DX11 came with two totally different sculpts, one with moveable eyes. You also got that great diorama and a decent stand.

I'm still looking forward to getting mine but it doesn't mean we have to excuse some of the flaws. To not make the exclusive a different sculpt is pretty unforgiveable.

Mass produced rooted hair is usually trash so I'm glad they stuck to sculpted but surely they could have done a better job? A few strands falling towards his face would have a big difference.

The thing that shocked me most from Dean's review is hearing how useless the stand is. He mentions he had to use the attachment from a doll stand to pull over those poses. When he used the crotch grabber HT give you he kept falling over. How does that make it through QC?

Count me in that camp with Mark 50. I’ll prob be selling mine when it arrives. The thigh gap just looks so awful on it.

Oh for sure, not. There are flaws yeah, I just see the flaws though more of a ah, wish they did that a bit different, as opposed to the, it's ruined the figure it's not worth buying now lense. I still don't think the DX11 looks great, that weird laugh and smirk is nice as an expression, I guess, but it looks nothing like Heath to me. I think, as like drawing, when you're making a portrait of someone in an extreme expression such as laughing hysterically you lose how the person looks because you're capturing an in motion expression, I just don't think it works for the DX 11, unpopular opinion as I know it's well regarded. But at the same flip of the coin, I see more flaws with the DX11 being a Heath Joker than I do the 1/4 scale, sure there's time difference and whatnot, but for me the improvements of the likeness and quality far outweigh the flaws.

The biggest flaw that is unforgivable is the second sculpt. It should have been different, how they can do it for a Darth Maul or JAck Sparrow and not for this is beyond weird. I doubt many people will use the second sculpt as Hot Toys thought they might. No idea on that one, but it's a shame, not a damnation of the overall piece. And yeah, the hair, pfft, they fluffed that one, especially when you look at a figure like the Crow or even the new Aquaman, how they can do layers and draping hair. The only thing I can think of is that a sculpted piece of hair draping over his face would look annoying or silly, and then you're stuck with it. At the same time I fell like a piece need to go more on the right side of his face, though. But again, I can see it looking stupid rather than better, and rooted hair just wouldn't have been good, not as a mass produced scale. But bottom line is they could have still sculpted the hair better, for sure, but again, it's not like the DX11 is anything to shout out about.

In terms of the stand, again it's sort of a slight against the figure. Should be more of a slight against the company. My 1/4 Iron Man 42 has the same stand, and putting him on his plinth and hoping he doesn't fall is crap. Their stands for the 1/4 line are just bad in general.

I don't know, I just think people are seeing the flaws, and yeah there are flaws, but they're making them bigger than they are. Moreso I think because of what the piece could have been, although I question how people think it should have been because they're basing what a holy grail Joker piece should look like on small produced custom work. And the comparison I think with the DX11 being better I think personally is a little absurd, the 1/4 kills it dead out the water, for me.

I always loved the DX11 laughing sculpt but I guess it's not for everyone.

The only good thing about the exclusive sculpt is it's potential to be custom haired and painted. I'll get that done when I can afford it but for now just stick to the regular sculpt.

Gonna have to track down a waist grabber from a doll stand so I can get standing the way Dean did.

Also need to find a 1/4 scale chair or get one made. I have a 1/4 interrogation room dio on the way but nowhere for him to sit lol.

I actually cancelled mine for other reasons the sculpt grew on me a bit. Figured if I was gonna drop the dough on this + shipping and import I might as well get my Gregg set haired and painted

After postage and import this would of probably looked around $650
so having Greggs 2.0 sculpt and 5.0 haired comes to just over $700 including the mom toys figure.

But I will say Hot toys one has grown on me a bit.... I'm not gutted I cancelled as I'd rather let someone who wants it have it.
