Very cool. The figures without stand support terrifies me though. :lol

No stands on my Hot Toys for years and no issues. Pops is leaning on the bust. He is old and won't stand on his own. If California ever gets the earthquake, I am screwed.

Not sure what to make of the BBTS Pops, Genysis did mess around with timelines, so...

Terrific shots xpl0sive.

Thanks man. I agree with your assessment too. The Enterbay BD sculpt is a little better, but this is a close second. As a 'clean' headsculpt, it's the best out there IMO.

I agree, but the Terminator of Enterbay is a doll, here we talk about statues and the Damtoys Terminator is the absolute best.

Xplosive I would like if you would do a review of the statue of Terminator, giving evaluations on everything, not just the sculpt. If I'm not mistaken, you said that the weapons are made of plastic and I'm sorry about that. Could you rate everything? And maybe post some more pictures? thanks a lot

Sure, here's a full review on this piece. Will post a bunch of detailed pictures soon:

Pose
The scene they based this off is awesome and while I do like the pose overall, it doesn't look that dynamic. Rather than looking like he is actually firing the mini gun, it actually looks like he is standing there posing with the gun instead. I'm not really bothered by this as I still think the piece looks awesome, but I just thought I'd point that out as it may bother some people who aren't really into museum poses.

Putting it together
The statue comes in several pieces. The base, the body, the bandolier, grenade launcher, mini gun and duffle bag.

The body comes in one piece but keep in mind the arms are actually inserted into sockets in the body under the jacket, so just be careful when handling the body as the arms can pop off.

The hands do come off the body and you'll need to do this in order to attach the mini gun. This is the only part of the statue I found a little difficult to put together. Damtoys do provide detailed instructions which is great, however the mini gun is pretty fragile and the 2 handles are inserted into slots on the body of the mini gun and fixed with glue, however the glue Damtoys use is pretty weak.

The hands are made of PVC and you basically need to open the fingers and attach them to the handles of the gun. During this process the handles on mine popped straight off, although nothing was broken it was just the glue that became unstuck, so I simply applied some super glue and reinserted back into the gun, so just keep that in mind when putting this together.

The rest is pretty straightforward to put together, you just need to undo the strap of the bandolier to get it around his body and then tighten it back up again, and the bag and grenade launcher just hang over his shoulders. On the topic of the accessories, they are made of plastic with the bullets for the mini gun being PVC. I assume this was done to keep the weight of the weapons down to avoid any issues with him holding the gun.

The head sculpt is fixed onto the body, and like Blitzway Damtoys have gone the mixed media approach with a PVC head on a polystone body. They've done an outstanding job with this and I wish more companies would go with this approach for their statues.

Headsculpt
The likeness to Arnold is fantastic and the paint job is incredibly realistic. Damtoys have absolutely nailed the head sculpt and it's one of the best head sculpts of Arnold I have seen. The only other sculpt I think that tops this is Enterbay's Battle Damaged T800 sculpt, but it's fairly close.

Tailoring
Moving onto the tailoring, Damtoys have again done a superb job here. The jacket and pants are made of real leather, even the boots are real leather. There is also some subtle weathering on the leather which is a nice touch and adds to the realism. The fitment of the clothes are great, although the jacket and pants are a little tight, it still looks very good.

Base
The base is ok, not as impressive as the rest of the piece but it does look nice overall. The top of the base does lack a bit of detail and the paint job is a little lackluster, but its passable. The bullets look cool, but perhaps the broken glass could've used a bit more detail.

I do like what they've done around the sides with the endoskeleton theme, and the paint work here is really nice but I'm really not a fan of the T800 plaque on the front. I would have preferred if they left the plaque off entirely, but if they were going to add something it should've been the Terminator 2 logo in my opinion, and preferably not a gold colour. That's just my opinion though, others may like it.

Overall I'm super happy to own this piece. Terminator 2 is probably my favourite action movie of all time, I'm a huge fan and have been waiting for the perfect T2 statue of Arnold and I think this is definitely it, at least for now anyway. It will definitely be hard to top this piece, so if you're a T2 fan and are considering buying this statue I highly recommend it, you won't be disappointed.

One thing that always seems to get missed on the clean Terminators by all manufacturers are the bullet holes in the back of the jacket from the Galleria shoot out. He protects John and gets his back shot up and those holes should be in every scene from then on but they are missing here and on the hot toys. Not sure if the clean Enterbay has them.

Yeah I noticed that. Clean Enterbay doesn't have them either. Probably overlooked as most won't see the back, who knows.

No problem, hope you like yours when you get it :)

Beautiful photos, beautiful statue!
Maybe I ask too much, but can you take a close-up picture of the terminator's head? Thank you

They actually patch them up at the garage stop in T2.

But then again in later shots we're probably looking at a different jacket altogether because you can't really make out either tape or bullet holes.
