I just get the feeling that in a few years the suit material is gonna get all stiff and flakey...granted I've got nothing to support this theory, but I've got a strong suspicion that'll be in the case. Perhaps Dr. Strange can look into the future and let us know? :lol

Don’t panic. That doesn’t happen with pvc.
All the Ht heads are made from the same stuff and I have figures from 2008 that are fine.
Irony of ironies, you’d have more problems with material fading or coming loose.
So rejoice, my friend. The PVC material they are using has longer legs than their fabric does and will last much longer as a result.

Repainted my headsculpt for better accuracy. Lightened the hair and gave it gold accents, repainted the beard, even added some. Repainted the mouth and removed some beard from around it. I'm refitting a civil war helmet sculpt to fit this body as the body is bigger and the neck peg won't reach. Also gave the entire suit a on e over, making it darker and frayed the damage exposing the scale mail. Great figure. The overall body size is the major issue. Too tall and too bulky. He's not THAT big.

Looks great! Really makes the likeness look better.

Absolutley stunning work there, Ta2_chino...looks fantastic!

I finally got this figure today....and just as it is, I think it looks great!

I cannot believe I almost passed on this one. So glad I didn't. Really unique look for Cap...

More shots and enthusiastic remarks later. Pulling some long shifts this week, but I had to get a couple of quick shots up.

Nice, congrats!

Wow, excellent job! I've been quite vocal about my disdain towards the IW headsculpt, but it's crazy how fixing the paintwork can enhance/improve the likeness. That looks so much more like Evans! :clap

Not sure if this is worth mentioning, but regular version is on waitlist. Movie promo version is still available though. Odd. The accessories weren't a must have, but there also wasn't much of a price difference. :dunno

Even if it’s only a 5 or 10 dollar discrepancy, I suppose why pay extra for an accessory you absolutely know you won’t display with the figure.

Managed to rig the civil war helmet on. Added a lot of silver accents that won't show up on camera. Dulled down the shine on his very toyish looking hands and boots. Waiting on the shield now...

Very nice. Even though I’m not feeling the helmet on this version, I really like how you dulled down the luster of the gloves.

Yeah I gotcha, but I suppose people don’t have attempting to score a deal via selling the accessory they won’t use as their first inclination. Just the mentality of if I know I’m not going to use it, then don’t get that version.

I mean I follow the logic as I have boxes full of accessories I've never used on figures, but I mean when you're talking $200+ what's $10? :lol

The other consideration is if you ever decided to sell the piece, it probably helps to have the "full" version. Look at people paying extra to get gummy iron men!

I really would have liked to see Cap put his helmet on with the beard at some point... I was hoping there would be some concept art of that in the Infinity War art book, but there wasn't.
