The first target that Tarkin hit on Scariff with the death star was the top of the transmission tower that Krennic was on before the laser actually made contact with Scariff’s land.

What great dynamics existed between Krennic, Tarkin and Vader.

Death by Death Star/Tarkin > Death by little Bane

Wasn't Krennic already killed (in typical deus ex machina fashion) by Cassian prior to Tarkin blowing up the planet?

Nope he looked up at the horizon towards the death star knowing what was about to happen and that Tarkin got the last laugh.

If you think about it, krennic did fail, he just took over for his failures, not bad at all, just doing his job, krennicnjust went behind tarkin’s back like a B to complain and vader reminded him who’s really in charge(the emperor)

He didn’t have nice things to say about his character from TDKR though other than it was his first big movie and the awe that comes with that.

But you can tell he didn’t find Dagget all that interesting.

Wasn’t Dagget the name of the original Battlestar Galactica robot dog.

Tarkin was a driven opportunist and was looking for ways to prove himself to the Emperor and I think if he thought he could get away with it he would have used the Death Star to kill the Emperor if he had the chance. He stood his ground with Vader as well. The fact he wanted Krennic out of his way and would wipe out all traces of him is another reason I like Rogue One.
