Icarus Toys eventually got the license and were able to produce a "Voltron" in their style but more classic looking Previously it was a generic name like beast king or something
 
It's not licensed. It's a Third Party, unlicensed product. They released the original one under the "Mad Toys" brand but changed over to "Icarus Toys" with a faux "licensing" claim as an excuse to release a new and improved version. I'm not trying to down it because I personally buy/support a lot of third party stuff but the company is pretty dishonest with the way they went about this one and people who DON'T support unlicensed products shouldn't have to worry about being tricked into it.
