Kubrick himself couldn't make this work...so someone else is gonna try to make Kubricks work for him?....ok :lol

Well, it wasn't so much that Kubrick couldn't make it work, its just that none of the studios wanted to make it because big historical movies like that generally weren't making any money in the late 60s. He was planning on revisiting it in the late 80s/early 90s, but never got around to it because he worked on and then gave up on The Aryan Papers, and Eyes Wide Shut took him so long to make that he died on the job.
