the cost comes from the led lighting and sliding doors, if you are ok with just the frame (book case) style, it can be purchased for very cheap on ikea site. Obviously it wont look as nice and can get dusty fast, but if want a cheap solution it's not bad

The ikea website says 44lbs is the maximum load each shelf is supposed to bare. Has anyone got more than 44lbs? I would go on sideshow to check the weights of the statues myself but I don't know the names of many of them. Help guys! I'm looking at about 55 lbs and would like to put it in a middle shelf rather than on the cabinet bottom. Thanks.

I hunk based on what can tell the shelf with the large hulk statue is over weighted. That's good. Tumbler by itself weighs 30lbs

Mystique another 10.

That's already 68lbs! Plus another 8 for harley even though I couldn't find a listed weight for it.

65 on top left between Spidey (25), Goblin (20), Venom and Carnage (10 each).

I think I might be fine.

With what? I thought about two strips of wood about 15" long, 3 x 3 painted black and then screwed into the sides of the pax just under the shelves. I also though of adding more holes for additional dowel pegs and maybe doubling up the shelf.

If you're getting the weights off of Sideshow's site they are never correct. There's no way a lot of the statues you listed weigh as much as they say.

What 55lb statue(s) are you trying to fit?

I have a 1/6 Batcave diorama. I want to put the Tumbler and some figures in. Sideshow has the tumbler listed at 30 lbs. The Diorama weighs about 30 too.

i have at least 80 lbs+ on some of the shelves (attakus statues are super heavy!), not worried at all, those are thick wood shelves, they can be safely loaded up well above the 50 lbs stated. Also if it does hit the limit it wont crack instantly like glasses, you will see the fractures appear in time.

Only thing is make sure you use ALL 6 shelf brackets on the 2 sides to evenly distribute the weight, those things look kinda flimsy, basically just a screw as the weight bearer. I replaced them with 5mm metal pins from amazon below, little tougher to install as you have to twist it into place but much stronger.

Guys, question for those with IKEA Komplement LED lighting stirps....

How many can you power using one ansulata power cord? Do you need one power cord per lamp?

There is an ansluta Intermediate power cord that I use to daisy chain the power packs that come with the lights.
Looks like it comes in 2 different lenghts but I use the shorter one.
Then you just need to use the Ansluta power cord at the end of the chain to power them all up.

I just picked up the last 3 doors we need for our tall bestas. No more tall ones after this. Just short so we can get the prints behind them in our new place.

I'm happy with how it looks but wont lie, I prefer the look of them doorless.

Oh no, that is terrible news. This was my fear for the besta tombo doors. Even though it doesn't look that they will be a problem, I still got worried enough to buy the remaining three I needed.

I am so sorry to those of you who have the shelves and needed the doors. I really do feel for you.

so that's why all them style doors were on sale on the ikea website.
No matter to me anyways as i was going to design my own hanging door system. my one kid has this system in her bedroom and i've never liked the door system. way to heavy and very little if any sealing abililty for collectables.
