Re: Headplay bodies

For the most part I don't need muscle bodies. I like the idea of just the sculpted neck and forearms. I would rather be able to get a greater range of poses and layers of clothes than just have my figs stand there. Even Indy just needs the chest/neck.

Re: Headplay bodies

LOL What the hell were they thinking?
Hope it's just something with that advanced copy, like the eyes and head paint apps of the predator classic from taiwan. Like the sculpt design of the chest tho.
Doubt the paint app will match Hot toys so it will be interresting only for skintight suit and stuff that don't show skin.

BTW got a reply to some question i sent to Headplay (who do speak english, at least their seller on ebay does), no muscular or slim body plan for now.
The other types of bodies will be on ebay soon.

But as i said before wait that a fellow freak receive its body before buying

Re: Headplay bodies

Yep. ____ it.

It got hiked up 25% in a day.

Might as well go back to Hot Toys body now for extra stand, pegs and stuff.

Re: Headplay bodies

And no combined shipping. It might as well be $29 off the bat.

Re: Headplay bodies

I think it's safe to say that HP is not customer friendly minded ^^

Like i said wait for the reviews before ordering.

Re: Headplay bodies

Got this from the Headplay seller...
Hello thx for your publicity of the body on that forum, we changed the price because the body is new, and we don't have much in our stock. We don't know what is the market price at first. And Chinese new year is coming, the factory will be closed for 2 or more weeks, we cannot make any order. By the way, this body is not related to headplay, this is custom-made brand.

Re: Headplay bodies

Well, if it's not related to headplay, it may or may not solve the question as to why the neck doesn't look fully inserted into the plug on the promo pictures.

Re: "No Name" bodies

Well today i got mine through the post and so far It's looking okay. Haven't had a chance to look through it properly though.

First impressions are the plastic used seems cheaper and a tad more brittle then you'd find on a HT body. Oh and the legs appear to be a tad longer then on a HT body.

Re: "No Name" bodies

Got mine this morning and I very quickly checked it out. Its much better than TTL bodies IMO Mainly because I really disliked the shorter arms and hyper-extending joints of the TTLs.
Only problems I see so far are the upper body and left shoulder is quite loose. Hopefully I can tighten the screws to sort that out though. Everything else seems quite tight how it should be.
Also, the left bicep seems glued to the shoulder so that will need some fixing.
There is a hole in the finger on one of the spare hands and the plastic has more of a shine to it than HTs from what I can remember.
Overall, very much worth the money and a great alternative to HTs body. I will be using these from now on for most my customs.

Re: "No Name" bodies

Thanks for the update, guys. I'm very curious about these bodies, having used mostly TTL's as my spares since I can't afford TTs. But the TTLs are a little on the loose side, so I'd like to hear if tightening the screws will help with the shoulder and upper body looseness.

Re: "No Name" bodies

Weirdly enough my one wasn't suffering from any loose joints. Must have been lucky I guess.

Re: "No Name" bodies

You know what I bought a solid snake headplay body off toy anxiety and it even said copyright Hot toys Ltd. 2010 on the torso. So yeah it's a recast.
