I don't either, but as great as they look I can't justify spending the $$ on the military figures. Not to downplay the other collectors that do, but I collect "movie and comic" items not average Joe military figures.

He is an oscar winning movie figure, one of the most iconic fictional military heroes in american cinema. Far from your average joe.

Having said that, I'm usng his gear to bash a WW2 Wolverine. :D

For me personally though I just can't pay over $100 for every 1/6th figure. Me no got it like that Monsieur Valfar:)

You can pick up some of the Hot Toys Military figures for quite cheap MIB at times.I paid about the same price for my DID Miller as i did for the other HT Military i own, at the $110-120 range.

You get lots of accessories with the Hot Toys Military line as well, pending which figure you get and its the same for DID.

Besides the bodies, the DiD is better bang for your buck. More detailed accessories, and accessories made of realistic elements. Functioning shoe laces on the shoes. The shoes themselves are a leather. The weapons are made of metal and wood. Grenades are solid metal. I love how realistic DiD goes.

This is true for most of it but, when it comes to real laces and fabric boots, they kind of look too new and molded weird opposed to sculpted and weathered ones you would get on Hot Toys military figures.

The boots Soldier Story use on some of their modern soldier figures, same thing, they look crappy and too new/weird shape to them.

Like these Soldier Story boots...they look like Bargain Harolds runners.

And the Hot Toys version, much better IMO.

Or as i like to think of it, DID clothing is before they actually get to see any combat. clothing has to be new at some point:lol

Valfar I have a few HT figs I just don't like to have everything from one company. I appreciate what DID is putting out to the point that I spent some money on one of their figs.

I got my finger on the trigger, but I am still trying to find the best deal on this figure.

Yeah, those Oakley boots are hard to pull off in cloth/leather at 1/6 and I agree that molded boots in this case look better - even the real 1/1 boots have a lot of what appears to be rubber/plastic. The funny thing is that HT used pretty much the same cloth black boot as Soldier Story's for its Secret Service ERT figure.

I like DID figure a lot, specially WWII
Attached some comparison shot with my Longbow studio Miller head
