Picked up Frozen a couple of days ago without having seen it before. My wife and I both enjoyed it, glad to have it in the collection.

If anyone is planning on getting Anchorman 2, Best Buy has it for $16.99 on pre-order or at that price for one day April 1st.

Todays new arrival(s)

Yes there are 2...but they aren't both mine ;)

It's lovely in hand.

Neil

Nice !

I was deciding if I wanted to get the Walmart Steel with both movies

What's Ranma like?
I've never seen it but always fancied giving it a go.

Opened up my copy of Frozen today for a few proper pics...

It really is lovely in hand

That is a gorgeous steel brother !

I'm curious about all these very nice steelbooks I see in this thread. I noticed most are from places other than the US, are they region free? And what do they typically cost? Would love to add some of these to the collection, but either I can't find them or when I do, they are ridiculously expensive. Anyone?

Most of what I have are UK releases only a few of my collection have come from overseas (Germany or US for me but there are exclusives from all other countries too)
A good portion of what I have are region free (all the Disneys are for example) with a few exceptions like the Mondo Enders Game, any of the Arrow releases (Zombie Flesh Eaters / The Beyond) or Riddick recently.

They can vary wildly in price but £20-£25 seems to be the norm recently

Most are sold through Zavvi as exclusives (they ship to the US for about £3 a film) but there are some non exclusives (like 28 Days Later / Scanners / Hunger Games Catching Fire / Percy Jackson) that are available via Amazon or in store like HMV.
There are also hyper ltd steels from a company called Entertainment Store who are a Play.com merchant & they have the new Jack Ryan film coming as a steelbook that is limited to 1,000 copies & these tend to hit the £25 retail mark but they are severly ltd & sell out within a few hours (they also don't ship to the US)

Some of the best steels I've seen recently though are from the Jpn market by either Kimchi DVD (Leon for Example) or Blu Fans (upcoming Frozen) but these are difficult to obtain.
Kimchi ship worldwide but Blu Fans are Jpn only & then it's Ebay with the hideously high Scalper mark up :(

It can be a good hobby but can also get massively expensive.
I think I'm currently running over 100+ Steels & while some have increased in value (Aliens Anthology / Thor / Cap: First Avenger / Raid / Roger Rabbit) most have haemorrhaged money, you will need to be really selective with your choices otherwise it can easily get out of hand.

Few links for you to have a look at...

Hope that helps.

^ Thanks for all the info, that will help a lot. I don't want to start collecting a bunch of them, but some releases I've seen look great. Thanks again.
