I picked that up too. I saw Escape From New York for the same price, but hate that there's not a single extra on it, so I passed. I'm sure another version will be coming. It's how they get ya'.

I just doubled checked, and my version of Escape from New York has a few extras on it, notably a documentary titled "Return to Escape from New York"

I just rewatched it a few weeks back for the first time since "sometime" in the 90s. Its crazy how much of the movie I had forgotten.

I remember first seeing Akira at an anime meeting at a Mr. Gatti's Pizza in Houston back in the 80s. I was instantly hooked.
