I was thinking about doing a GI Joe alphabet list, as in, pick one favorite character for each letter of the alphabet, but that seemed too complicated.

So, instead, lets just say, if you were re-forming the Joe team, pick your best 10-person roster (and why, if ya want).

Mine-
1. Snake-Eyes (naturally; fave character, stealth, intel, infantry)
2. Torpedo (water, SEAL abilities)
3. Recondo (jungle, infantry)
4. Stalker (leadership,communications*)
5. Clutch (transportation)
6. Zap (heavy weapons, flight*)
7. Airborne (flight, infantry)
8. Rock'N'Roll (heavy weapons, infantry)
9. Gung-Ho (heavy weapons, infantry)
10. Alpine (climbing, infantry)

(*Stalker was in charge of communication gear when he was on LRRP)

(*Zap flies helicopters, like in GI Joe: ARAH #1)

That was a lot tougher than I thought. Still debating putting in Wild Bill, Ripcord, Scarlett and Flash into a few of those later slots.....

My list is based purely on who I liked best in the cartoon. . .so, I'm not picking them based on skills or abilities or anything:

1) Flint (leader)
2) Lady Jaye
3) Snake Eyes
4) Shipwreck
5) Dusty
6) Alpine
7) Bazooka
8) Roadblock
9) Beachhead
10) Spirit (in case they run across Storm Shadow :D )

1) Snake Eyes
2) Beachhead
3) Shock Wave
4) Steel Brigade Member
5) Steel Brigade Member
6) Steel Brigade Member
7) Steel Brigade Member
8) Steel Brigade Member
9) Steel Brigade Member
10) Steel Brigade Member

I call it, the masked badasses.

1. Flint
2. Lady Jaye
3. Snake Eyes
4. Spirit
5. Shipwreck
6 Roadblock
7. Snow Job
8. Alpine
9. Low Light
10. Doc

I was tempted to pick Sgt. Slaughter, but he's a one man army on his own.

1. Falcon (Medic/Unconventional Warfare/Interpreter)
2. Captain Claymore (Team Leader/Covert Operations/Sniper)
3. Flint (Pilot/Tactician/2nd in command)
4. Sgt. Slaughter (Heavy Weapons/Interrogator/Drill Instructor/USMC Force Recon*)
5. Wetsuit (DEVGRU*)
6. Snake Eyes (Intelligence/Silent Weapons/Espionage/Martial Arts/Tracker)
7. Stalker (Medic/Interpreter/EOD)
8. Lady Jaye (Undercover/Intelligence/Interpreter)
9. Scarlett (Undercover/Intelligence)
10. Dusty (Black Operations/Tracker/Survival/Sniper/Interpreter/CAG*)

*skills may qualify 'em as such..

To quote MG Frank Toney, Commanding General (2000-2002), United States Army Special Forces Command:

"I only speak two languages: 5.56 and 7.62!"

True quote. I was there when he uttered that memorable quote...

But he always surrounded himself with good interpreters...:lol

Top ten split into two teams

Duke
Scarlet
Snake Eyes
Tunnel Rat
Stalker

Flint
Wild Bill

I've been playing GI JOE: BATTLEGROUND lately (on the Android) and currently my team is as follows.

LOW-LIGHT
SCARLETT (Leader)
LT. FALCON
CHUCKLES
COUNTDOWN (Don't laugh he's a RARE character.)

All of the characters are RARE characters

I also have the following back up RARE characters.

BEACH-HEAD
PILOT SCARLETT
ROADBLOCK
FLINT
LADY JAYE

How are you liking Battleground? I'm playing it too, but it's sooooooo repetitive. I like leveling the characters up, but wish the graphics/action was a little more animated...

It's basically a "battle card" game.

Yes . . . it is repetitive and I enjoy the fact it's free; however, once you run out of certain items and unable to acquire more for free, then you'll have to pay to get "coins" to purchase additional items to restore character's hit points or revive them.

I have not (actually refused) to buy coins, but I reached a point where this current DREADNOK challenge running a few days pretty much exhausted my cache of item to restore characters due to the increasing difficulty so I'm contemplating giving up @ this point or pony up a few bucks to continue.

The whole leveling up and collecting different characters is what draws one to the game.

I've probably spent $30 and it's gotten me some good characters, but I won't buy extra ammo, rations, or reviving stuff. To me, that's just silly.

But, it would be nice I you could trade character cards with other players. I don't need all these epic players, just 10 or so.

Also, it'd be cool if you could turn in the in-game "cash" for recruits. I have about $150k at the moment.

What level are you? I'm at 53 I think....

I'm @ LEVEL 53 too.

The majority of my JOE "RARE" characters are maxed out @ LEVEL 70.

I have not utilized any of the COBRA characters though yet. I usually ditch the all the commons and the uncommon characters which I don't necessarily care for by using them upgrade for XP & skills.

Promotion is rather time consuming without resorting to buying extra characters. I've yet to spend any real $ on the game.
