And it will actually be more mind blowing if and when XM Studios give the 3 winners their statues. To me that will just show how awesome XM Studios is for following through with their contest ...and it'll be a great closure to this great contest.

This is a great statue but at $1k plus I need to have a strong connection to the character to but and the Inhumans don't do it for me

I hear ya. I think it is a killer statue. But at that price I need to be into that line...and I just can't get into the Inhumans all that much. I am not a fan of Marvel pushing them over the X-Men just because of the movie rights issue.

I love Inhumans but yeah, I hear ya. I've read some of their series in the last two years (like Inhumans and Inhumanity), but Marvel turned them in some kind of X Men + Digimon mashup and really cheapened many relevant themes.

Their original series that started in the early FF was really enjoyable, as were a lot of their 70s stories. The new stuff is fairly terrible but I think most of the new Marvel books are garbage as they've placed an emphasis on pc-appeasement instead of good story telling.

Not only pc-appeasement but it is insane how many titles are numbered below 10. They keep canceling all long running titles and constantly reboot them just so they can sell a new Number 1 issue. The gimmicks to push sales are just sad. I don't like Savage Dragon but I respect Larson for just year after year churning out his book.

Totally agree about the new series. DC just did that with Constantine which drives me nuts.
It apparently works though because Marvel has almost all of the top selling titles each month.
Spiderman continues to be enjoyable and I've heard Dr Stange is really good but I just don't trust new Marvel titles to try and start another one.

And I thought the screaming head was the only way to go. That calm portrait is just damn right majestic! Wow, I'm impressed with the outcome of this piece. !

The other head Sculpt makes me laugh a little. The way he has his foot up and head back screaming, he looks like I do after I stub my toe.
