The ants take the statue up a few notches. Really nice concept. The ants look really fragile. Are they fully sculpted?
I wonder if the antenna comes off? If not they will probably break during shipping.

Just love the base though...XM are really taking each piece to their limit in terms of the poses, detail and paint apps...simply MAGNIFIC-ANT!!!!

if I was collecting XM statues I wouldn't be able to turn any of them down
I just cant fault any of their statues!! From Magneto to Wolverine to Phoenix to Black Widow to Thanos...just amazing Marvel collectibles! Jay, if you could pick one Marvel character for XM to make, what would it be?if I was collecting XM statues I wouldn't be able to turn any of them down
Thanos but they've done that now. Spiderman would be my next pick. I want a pose that we've never had before though.

Too much of a mixed media fan
If you take the Sideshow Deadpool PF for example, that's a fully sculpted figure but the use of mixed media on that piece is just amazing!! 
would love to have seen some mixed media on any of the XM statues then it would've made it impossible to turn down. As for Iron Man, well I've already committed to the Sideshow 1/4 maquette line which already includes the MKVII and MK42 so hence why I haven't ordered those either XM need to make Spiderman quick. The longer they leave it the higher the expectations

I like mixed media as well but i wouldn't turn XM stuff down just because they don't wear PJ's.
Still with all you have on order and how much shipping is on these you do right to skip them.
It's not even the 'pjs' aspect of mixed media...if they could add maybe a leather belt here or some fabric there then i'm sure it would enhance the piece even more in my opinion...then again, there are those out there that are the total opposite and love the fully sculpted look...so I guess its just something that i'll have to live with for now but like you said, if I was to get into XM fully then I don't think I'd be able to turn a single piece down and with the shipping costs being what they are then I'd seriously be up **** creek!!!

I have never been a fan of Ant-Man but boy what a fantastic execution is it! After the Magneto, I believe the Ant-Man piece is their best product! XM did an impressive job with the base of Ant-Man and make a weak character look more appealing! This is a great marketing strategy...

Yeah I thought this would be a easy pass, but now with the base and ants, I'm looking at my current collection and thinking, "you know what I could probably sell a few more statues to get Ant-Man"
