XM Studio 1/4 Avenger Iron Man Mark VII

This guy is definitely a beast! I was on the fence but I'm going to pass in the end...already have a red armor in the mark VI maquette and I gotta save up for XM Cable and She Hulk. Congrats on locking this in Andy!!

I think given the choice, I'd display this piece with POSE A - In Flight Mode as opposed to B which has both feet on the ground...just looks more appealing to the eye I think

On a serious note, one of my misconceptions regarding this piece was its lack of bulkiness....from most of the pics shown of the MKVII from the Singapore Comic Cons made the armour appear to look rather slim than maybe what it should look like in reality. However, I'm sure this is just an optical illusion as these pics below show with the human hand as reference that actually the size is pretty much spot on

I've heard that before but I don't see this as skinny. In my eyes it's really flawlessly done. The only nitpicks were the infill on the face plate and the arc, and I've been told they've been taken care of already

Nah I think that was always the case. XM just always had the flaps shown in the pics.

I think the one thing I'm looking forward to the most with my MKVII are the paint apps and XM's ability to bring out such small details like the ammo packs, the missiles, the rockets, the Arc Reactor, etc...I think judging from these pics that I'm gonna be dazzled

....and at last!!!! A metallic looking faceplate!!!!

I'm starting to agree with you. I could order this or I could order the Mk42 and Iron Patriot from SS and take my chances that paint apps are good and they come out as advertised. I think I'll be going XM yet again.

You could also think of it this way, you could be 1 of 4000 people who own SS Mk42 and IP or you can be 1 of 850 people who own XM IM VII

If SS can nail the paint apps on IM42 and IP and If SS can nail the likeness of the actors faces then it's not a bad way to go.... but that's a lot of If's
