Still no interest in this PF. Ebay have so much price gouging. Nature of the business or not, some of these prices are ridiculous.

The Don is another shill as well, it's steadily decreasing as the rest of the line with the release of Leo and Shredder.

The Shredder of that line really disappoints me, it's horrid in the positioning of the statue, somewhat cartoon take, etc...

They really should of made him either more like the comics since they did the red bandannas with the rest of the turtles or at least some more modern. I totally had something way different in my head as to the release of the Shredder piece.

Re: Wolverine PF Exclusive for $2,000????

I noticed two unusual sales for the Wolverine PF Exclusive as we were processing updates for our Sideshow Premium Format Sales Report.

Historically, The Wolverine PF Exclusive has sold for an average of $375 since its release until the end of April. Here are the most recent sales we’ve recorded on the report for April & May:

Wolverine - Exclusive 270738569233 2011-04-23 $350.00
Wolverine - Exclusive 110673971920 2011-04-18 $399.99
Wolverine - Exclusive 220767912890 2011-04-17 $439.00
Wolverine - Exclusive 360358575552 2011-04-10 $449.99
Wolverine - Exclusive 280651764197 2011-04-05 $358.99
Wolverine - Exclusive 150581598355 2011-03-25 $399.99
Wolverine - Exclusive 280639062478 2011-03-10 $386.00
Wolverine - Exclusive 330534663124 2011-03-02 $305.51

The first sale for this month was at $499, which was a new high, but certainly reasonable as it has sold as high as $450 previously. The next day, another one sold at auction for an insane $2,025 sales price! The auction looked legit, although the seller had a feedback below 50, but all of the buyers had high feedback scores. A week later, the next auction ended at $1,025. A more reasonable price, but still almost triple the historical average from the last 6 or 7 months.

Looking closer, it looks like the same buyer had the winning bid for both auctions and placed them within a few minutes of each other.

k***e( 136) US $1,025.00 May-08-11 17:42:24 PDT
It's hard to believe that a serious buyer would place two $1,000+ bids on the same item within a few minutes of each other. Either the buyer's account was stolen or the buyer is trying to artificially inflate prices.

For now, we have recorded the sales transactions in the Sideshow Premium Format Sales Report, but will likely remove them unless the sales are authenticated. For more details and to view the original sales transaction, please visit our report page at: https://www.MyAuctionReports.Com

I was prepared to pull the $2K and $1K sales from the Wolverine PF Sales report, but then we had the following three sales:
Wolverine - Exclusive 360368048818 2011-05-20 $1899.95
Wolverine - Exclusive 360367598564 2011-05-19 $1899.95
Wolverine - Exclusive 270748701499 2011-05-17 $ 775.99

The $775.99 final price was for an auction. It was probably legit, but I'm sure the price was affected by the previous sales at $2K and $1K. The next two sales at $1899.95 (best offers) are more questionable. The seller is one of the bigger sellers on eBay, but there's no proof that the buyers actually paid to complete the transaction.

There was an auction that ended on Sunday with a $500 high bid, but the reserve was not met. The Buy It Now was at $1,999.99. At this point, none of the sellers want to be the one that undersold the Wolverine PF EX. The current listings on eBay have a Buy It Now between $1,200 and $2,499. If I'm a buyer, I think I'd wait for one of the sellers to "blink" and drop the price to a more reasonable amount.

I would exclude buying Wolverine on Ebay for awhile as the price gouging resets itself. Look for members on this forum willing to sale. I had a member offer a barely displayed version for $375 shipped just weeks ago. This artificial inflation is going to hurt all those that buy at these high prices as the figure is not that rare like Doom PF or Hulk PF and doesn't have the demand Captain America PF has.

give it another year or so and maybe the higher prices will be legit, but as of now probably $500 +/- is more realistic.

Cap PF held onto the $500 range for a good year or more before it took off to the next level of $800-$1000

when the sabretooth PF takes off, wolverine will prob follow it

hard to believe Sabes Ex is still in stock. People must really hate those pajamas, but the pose and sculpt are awesome. I only want one Wolvie in my collection, and this one isn't it.

If this were a comiquette, I would have picked it up instantly. It's a great sculpt. There was no way I was going to buy a Sabes wearing PJ's. IMO, it just killed this statue.

well i saw a guy on a local board selling his wolverine pf for 1000 $ , guess these crazy ebay auctions start giving sellers bad ideas :cuckoo:

Guess those seller have time to waste cause true buyer ain't going for it. They think they can create a comics statue bubble with these jacked up prices. Real estate/ housing bubble burst way back and the economy is still recovering. Demand ain't going up just cause they jack it up.

Sabretooth PF won't be sold out anytime soon. Wolverine PF have a fairly high ES and it will have to stand alone. His prices will go up but no where close to $1000.
