Thanks again for all the kind words guys!

I agree it looks great! The hair mod is perfect!:clap

Koupon, you can find out all about casting via Alumilites website. They have several tutorials and some videos as well.

You're probably looking at a two piece mold:

These tuts are great! Thanks Mando, I will definately give this a shot when I get a bit of time and see how it turns out. If all goes well I can start casting more for anyone that would like one.

Here is another close up picture of the front.

Didnt check the tuts, but here's the easiest way to do it:

Buy 2 part silicon (that one is obvious! :D)
Check the ratio between the two parts and weigh them. Then when the rest is ready, mix them. You need about 150 grams for a head

So the rest:

I use those picnic disposable plastic glasses. Take the hs. Work fast and use a paintbrush to cover the face with your silicon (to avoid major bubbles). Insist on the eyes, nose, mouth and ears, places where the bubbles are more likely to form.

Use blue tack to secure the hs to the bottom of the glass and pour the rest of the silicon.

The next day, tear the glass apart and with an exacto knife, make a slit where the back of the head is supposed to be (no mre than an inch!). Remove the original hs.

You're ready for casting:

That's very easy. Resin comes also in two parts. Prepare two plastic glasses with the same quantity of product. Mix them together in a third glass. Stir very quickly as reaction will start in about 50 seconds. Pour inside the mold and wait for twenty minutes. There you have a copy! :D

Hope it helps! :D
