Chris Pine Kirk, please.
Hot Toys Wrath of Khan figures or nothing imo
Yeah its still the best film. Though I also really enjoyed Generations and First Contact. Then Voyager started putting the borg in every episode and completely demystified them and took away their threat.
Wrath of Khan would be the best way to go for Hot Toys.
It's still the best Star Trek movie IMO
I loved the whole 'space navy' feel about it. The uniforms seem the most realistic of any Star trek uniform theres ever been IMO. There was still some awe about the Enterprise, something as simple as Kirk boarding the ship and their exiting space-dock was just so cool. (although Trek III's space dock sequence was cooler) Something that bothered me about later Trek is that you never got the impression that these ships ever 'returned to port', they seemed like they were the property of the ships captain and he could just take them wherever he wanted.
Another huge plus II has in its favour is James Horners music. I hate that they've never got him back to score a Trek film and that music hasn't been heard since Star Trek III. Definitely one of the best film soundtracks of all time. Really epic and evocative of space and this 'space navy' I mentioned.
Because its Iconc, its a classic, it deserves better than the 12" Megos that came out in '79. And as to a 25 year old property? Their Planet of the Apes linewas quite good, well received, ultra detailed and at a decent pricepoint.I don't see why they'd release figures from a 25-year-old movie when a new, very popular, one came out just last year.

Oh, yeah, and because the new one SUCKED!!
That film was fortunate to even get those. They are appropriate. Knockoff figures from a knockoff movie.
