Definitely GTG. Even Ian McKellan said he preferred the character of GTG over GTW stating GTW was a bit too "stuffy". That's good enough for me.

Sir Ian, Sir Ian, Sir Ian, WIZARD!! 'YOu SHALL NOT PASS!!', Sir Ian, Sir Ian.

The old Grey is well and truly on top.:D

GTG....although not as actively or outwardly warrior-like as GTW, there's an implied promise of dangerously great power in those eyes that belie that kindly grandfather exterior. I think that complexity in GTG is more interesting than the overt display of GTW.

Agreed my thoughts were also along those lines and underestimating the old man would be a big and possibly your last mistake. :lol

GTW did have that great moment when he was talking about white shores with pippen. beautiful.:monkey2 i gotta give GTW some props for that.

Yeah great scene.

I also luv the scene when Frodo is overwhelmed and in despair at the end of Fellowship when he recalls his conversation with Gandalf the Grey.

Frodo:"I wish the ring had never come to me.I wish none of this had happened."

Gandalf:"So do all who live to see such times but that is not for them to decide. All you have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to you."

Something that can be related to everyone throughout their lives.Gotta luv the Grey that sentimental old fool.:D :rock
