Have you used the varnish on anything else? I'm curious to see how it looks when applied.

Only on Warhammer figures. I'll try and dig some out tonight.

Tried this on the inside of the Chest armour as a test. Wasn't very happy with how it went on, but the brush I was using was a bit knackered!


Just been searching through all my old Warhammer stuff, remembered I didn't like how the Gloss varnish looked on these tiny figures so I repainted them with Matt! (Sorry it was years ago I painted most of these I'd forgotten). If I build up the courage to set too on my trooper, I'll post the results!

Thanks, and the color and detail is washed out a bit because of the flash, so this guy looks even better in person (or with proper lighting). Mattel sent me my 2 Fakers for free BTW, because of the error in processing, so this was an awesome score.

I use that for my figures' eyes to make them glossy, but I don't think it's appropriate for a stormtrooper. At the very least, I would water it down a lot or it will look like he's been covered in slime.

I think I'll snag myself one of them then. I've been impressed with every photo I've seen of the fig. I'll just have to wait until I see it on sale though.
