I think I had one of those Rock Lord's. Dino rides look awesome. I never saw those before.

obscure toylines -ring raiders-small areoplanes and fighter jets that were connected to a plastic ring on your finger! i think that was their name? i also had a rocklord toy,go bots, also the little 2 inch figures that had rubsigns of fire, wind or water symbols on their chests-not sure of name? i had the turret dinoriders figure/dino too-i recently just purchased the complete (13 eps!) of dinoriders.
centaurians was another (i had the blue figure) ive still got some/used to own most of the visionaries figures and vehicles (got the 13 eps complete series dvd) MANTA FORCE was 2 large space ship types that had various mini deployable tanks etc with tiny 1 inch pilots that i had! i had a a bit of each of the toylines from the 80's and 90's having grown up then.transformers in 1985 as a 5 year old was what i got into first!

I nominate Battletrolls and Stone Protectors

Its mind blowing that the toy industry thought one troll themed line of boys action figures wasnt good enough :rotfl

Manglors were probably the most obscure of them all.

MANGLORD salutes you :rock

some of the "oddball"stuff i played with as a young dude, and what makes up most of my toy collection. I love the toys from this era. i still remember the layout of Zayers and childrens palace ahhh the good old days. it was all one universe when it came to playtime.

Sectaurs were the isht. cool looking bug dudes big motorized puppets, a gigantic playset, mini comics one of my most favorite toy lines. Insect Man toys got some playtime too.
Rocks Bugs and Things, where did all my mordles go?
Madballs head poppers, i fookin love you
Boglins, you too
Bugmen of Insecta, Dragonriders, Bug Gladiators King Stinga ftw!![/SIZE]
Defenders of the Planets Galaxy Warriors, Fantasy World and Galaxy Fighters got a lot of use with my MOTU and POP toys. Yes that's right i played with She-Ra. Piro likey the ladies of Etheria. Thundercats faced a mutant surge on Third Earth thanks to some of these guys.
Guardians by Son AI, the 3 they release ruled
Food Fighters WTF they were awesome
Inhumanoids Metlar, Tendril and D Compose were definitely my favorite out of these. They invaded Eternia often my joes had to fight them as well.
Battle Brawlers, springs still work after all these years.

I could go on, so much great stuff in this period. I was fortunate to have a lot of it.

not from the 80's but Krusher from mattel was so awesome. that thing was over a foot tall, and went everywhere with me. He whooped up on everyone. wish i still had it.

Bionic Six.

Really?..those figures were everywhere when i was a kid. They made great throwing weapons as well, being made with die-cast and all...and those solid rubber WWF figures were deadly if you threw them at some other kid as well.

While the COPS toys were pretty cool when I was a wee lad, looking at them now, don't they look a little "village people"?

C.O.P.S is definitely one toyline that deserves a modern makeover.

:lol Yeah they were heavy as hell.

It is my dream that someday Dino Riders will someday get re-released in toy stores. I love those toys and they are nearly impossible to find complete. Even eBay is dry on them... :(

I didn't find any of the toys in any of these posts to be obscure.
Manglors? Boglins? Sectaurs? Battle Beasts? Super Naturals? Food Fighters? M.U.S.C.L.E.? Those were everywhere!

When I think obscure, I think of toys like:

Bugmen Of Insecta
Dragonriders Of The Styx
The Other World

It's hard for me to call any toyline manufactured by any of the large companies "obscure."

Rocks, Bugs 'N Things (produced by Ideal), maybe.

Dude! I had the Dragon man!!

I don't think anyone has mentioned Sky Commanders..i remember a few kids having them in school, i think there was a cartoon to go with it.

Oh my God, Sky Commanders! I've been trying to remember the name of these toys for ages! I had zip-lines all over my bedroom! I don't remember this commercial. Thanks for this!

How can something be obscure if it there's also a cartoon about it?
If that's the case then I shocked nobody put this
