Statue Weta Workshop's The Balrog Statue

I'm contemplating ordering one of these to go along with Smaug. Are Balrogs just as big as dragons or are they smaller?

Damn... maybe I should go for that 13.5 inch Balrog then. But then again, the price on that piece is absurd.

Balrogs are quite smaller than an adult dragon...nothing wrong with the $100 baby weta rog...

Sideshow Weta's "Flame of Udon" Balrog Statue...It was dirt cheap last time I looked on Ebay..I just looked and one was just sold on 1/16/15 for $100...seems like Balrogs are gettin popular again.....There were alot of these at one time...It is a great piece

Got mine today. Getting him set up was a pain in the *ss. The pix are bad, very bad and actually does look like the piece but because of the bad lightning the fire on the figure got "overexposed" and when looking at them I think they look pretty good.

Yes, this foe maybe beyond you Josh, perhaps consider hiring a Wizard when facing your Balrog

Mine arrived as well. UPS destroyed the box, no statue damage though. Mine went on the base without any issue at all. Large piece but am still unsure on the pose. One thing that struck me was how gold the highlights on the flames really were.

That sounds like a great plan. I lost a few pounds sweating when Azog arrived and trying to make sure I didn't mess him up.

Number 312 arrived, easily slipped on his base and no damage so that was good. He sure fills up a Besta shelf.




Even with the main lights off those flames are bright!

Got mine yesterday. Man such a huge, heavy, detailed, and awesome piece. Plus I only paid $265 for it. Just badass.
