wow...... +1. I guess zooming or taking close pictures of statues is considered explicit or pornography. I sure get turned on by looking at close-up of my statues! Seriously who buys statues so they can get aroused or stimulate themselves? Absolutely ridiculous .

Haha yah.. I think after some of the pics where deleted, I just said whatever. I wouldn't call them veterans on the board but more like 1 dimensional idealists. It's nice that a Canadian girl is not offended by my stuff. Well at least u can see all of the uncensored pics at Statue Forum

Well, I have had very little to say in this thread. In fact I have only had 3 posts. The first 2 (which were back to back and should have been all in one post) stated my personal feelings. The OP replied to my second post (he never even attempted to justify the wet-panty-bondage pic) with a follow-up question. I didn't bother answering because I was so totally baffled by his continued lack of understanding, and didn't believe that anything I could say would make any difference.


Then I saw Adoptedscot's post, and had to share my approval, as it so perfectly answered the question I was asked. If the OP is still unclear on why there is no double standard happening here... well... then...

Things had gone quiet in this thread until someone opposing the deletion of the inappropriate pic s made a sarcastic comment, another member reacted to that. It has since stopped so your snyde comments and insults do not help at all.

He did drop it, the other person however did not, and brought the argument forward again this morning, he responded and has since dropped it again.

YOUR PICS THAT WERE DEEMED INAPPROPRIATE WERE CLOSE UP IN YOUR FACE SHOTS OF BARE BREASTS (Vampirilla has on clothing - not much - but she is still covered - whereas your zoomed in shots of boobs had no clothing what so ever covering the nipples) AND CROTCH SHOTS. I don't see any pics there that look like the photographer was trying to give Vampirilla a gynecological exam like yours were. So - if you do not see where these are ok - and yours are not...then you never will. If you keep bringing up this issue when numerous mods have asked you to stop, I will infract you.

I will just re-post these, from the Admin, the OWNER of this Forum:

Showing someone's collection is fine - those statues on a shelf in context with other statues might be okay. However such large pictures are indeed "in your face" and aren't appropriate for this forum.

Unfortunately this isn't a democracy and I and the mods decide what is appropriate. These types of large photos of little naked plastic women in such poses are NOT appropriate.

Sorry.

Think of us as the MPAA - one bum shot or scantily clad lady might be okay - but 10 may not be. We have to judge what is appropriate for the audience and act accordingly.

Snide comments about these decisions are NOT appreciated.

May I suggest you take note and you give it a rest.

So, enough already or infractions WILL be issued.

DUE TO THIS FORUM CENSORSHIP AND HEADACHE THAT I AM GETTING, I'VE MADE MY DECISION TO REMOVE ALL MY PICS OF MY COLLECTION OUT OF HERE! ALL I WANTED TO DO WAS SHOW & SHARE MY COLLECTION, YET I FELT THIS PLACE IS PUTTING ME DOWN! I'VE NEVER BEEN SO DISAPPOINTING AT THEIR ACTIONS & BELIEF ON THERE STANCE ON ART AND NUDITY, ALL BECAUSE OF HOW I TOOK THE PICTURES OF SOME OF MY STATUES. SOME OF THESE PEOPLE HERE HAD THE AUDACITY TO CALL ME A PERVERT, A PORNOGRAPHER, A WHINER AND OR A DEGRADER TO WOMEN!

I enjoy the art & celebration of the human form of both female & male. This place needs to rise & come out of there stance about Art and Nudity. We are after-all in the 21st Century are we not? IMO, they will never get it and why should they? I don't need to justify it to them. Art should not be censored but celebrated. If they are unwilling to change, its better to walk away then be part of something that I share differences with. Thank you all for who did enjoyed viewing my collection. Hi Kenny, it's alright. After reading the last 140 + posts about this that I realize it's not worth the effort. They didn't run me out, it was a choice I made not to get involved anymore.

It takes a bigger man to walk away then let this progress any further. For those who basically trashed my collection thread, lighten up on your stance. Like I said before, art should be celebrated. If you don't like it, walk away instead of badgering someone. In life we have choices & this should had been one of them. I know some of you are better then this. Sometimes its hard to teach an "old dog" new tricks. But when u do, it brings out the joy in you. ~ Jason

If he had just had the humility to read, understand and abide by the rules when he was first told he was in violation, I highly doubt there would ever have been an issue.

His presence on the forum was never a problem. His disrespect for it was. Both mods went far out of their own way to explain the situation to him, as well as to accomodate his concerns. He chose to be difficult. If he no longer feels welcome here, it is not on account of either moderator's intentions. The resultant backlash came in support of the mods by established members. He opted to play the victim card and to continue spitting in the face of the standards set down by the forum's owner. He showed that Dave's status as the provider of this website, and his prerogative to establish the terms by which it will be used, meant nothing to him.

If he feels persecuted, I'm afraid the cause of that is himself.

Firstly, I'm not Jen.

Secondly sarcasm is lost on many obviously are you are each having to explain your jokes to each other, trust me the humour of that alone is not lost on me ....and I kinda figured you didn't mean it literally when you said "I sure get turned on by looking at close-up of my statues!", (at least I hope you don't). Hence the of you not getting what we've been trying to explain for the last umpteen pages.

You don't get it, you will never get it and we will never allow those pictures no matter how loud you shout it from the rooftops that we are opposed to the appreciation of Art in all it's forms or how many forums you take your crusade to.
Oh, and by the way, asking Averone (ARH) on another forum to post pics here so you can see IF we delete them, very classy
Maybe you should educate yourself and check out the Dealers section. He already has a thread there and already posts his pics there. We have no problem with that as he is going posting inappropriate pics or trying to recreate the ______ monologues with his pics, that is how they differ from yours.

As we have been saying all along we don't have a problem with the human anatomy or appreciating Art. We have never had a problem with it and even encourage artistic discussion etc.
We have a Art section so for you to talk like we are acting as if we are in the stone ages just shows how blind sided you are and how much of an obsession this situation has become to you.

Myself and Jen have responded in this thread because you kept bringing the issue forward, questioning, complaining, criticising and insulting.

It stated when you were contacted about the pictures and the mod explained at length why they were not appropriate here. In fact you were speaking by pm's with a mod for about an hour about the issue and the reasons behind our decision.

So your situation was answered and made clear then and was dropped.

Then you did this, post 155 Page 16:

Guys, I've removed some pics today because of complaints of some of my statues not being PG-13? I'm extremely disppointed by all this. Statues IMO are an art form. How can you ban art? Some of these statues are sculpted by masters like Pablo, Tim Miller, Clayburn Moore and other fantastic artists & sculptors. There work is so widely known yet we have to censor them? A female or a male body, young or old is indeed art. I however respect there decision but I hope in the future, they widen that stance a little. Afterall we are talking about statues and nothing more.

Which involved everyone as you posted it on the open forum. This situation could have been handled privately but you chose to make it public by making this post about it in the thread and then began to question everything we do. So that was your doing in making this situation public and causing the reaction it has.

This initial post was followed by many more critical posts and accusations. So we responded, from page 17 (post 162) and it went from there. You were asked to drop it (as posted in my previous post) and you didn't. It just kept going. You could not drop it and continued to ask questions about acceptability, throw accusations of unfairness and even call us hypocrital and if you do that, trust me when I say we will answer

If you are going to come here and do nothing but criticise then you are really not gonna have fun here. You could not grasp our reasoning so made snyde comments and insults aswell and question and make rediculous statements

The rules are the same as they always have been in this area, and they apply to everyone. Contrary to what anyone else says we have not tried to chase anyone away, we have not made up rules just for you, we have not denied you your civil liberties so stop pretending that it is your right to post what you want because it is not. This is a private forum, it is privately owned and there the person that owns it can create rules of the forum to make it a more enjoyable and friendly place. We all discuss what happens here and what is accpetable in a post so ultimately the Admin and the mods get the final say as to what is deemed appropriate and what is not.

That has not changed since this board was created, yet never had we had such drama over that until now.
