I recently picked up an Iron Man Sideshow Exclusive Comiquette on eBay that was still sealed in the original Sideshow brown shipping case. The auction is at:

https://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200339425890

I know it was expensive, but cheaper than others I have seen available for sale. In any case, after receiving the comiquette, I had to decide whether to open it or not. I eventually did decide to open it (about an hour after I received it in the mail) as I wanted to display the darn thing.

What i did was document opening the comiquette with pictures. I have posted these pictures at:

https://www.flickr.com/photos/boochydog/sets/72157619036835563/detail/

I figured someone could use these pictures as further documentation when trying to determine if a comiquette is a fake or not.

I hope these links work. As you can see by my comments at the flickr page, I am quite pleased with the opening of the comiquette.

If anyone has a great case that can be used to protect and show this piece, please let me know. Thanks!

Awesome man, I'll document this in my Quest for the Real IM thread, the more documentation we have about this piece the better for noobies/Freaks to be in the know about.

I love this piece and prolly would never sell it, I remember the same feelings you are going through right now :drool

i don't know if i'll ever get this piece, but if i did, i think i'd pay the extra $$$ for one of them ones on ebay that have all the documentation such as original bill of sale and shipping forms from ssc.

Yeah I got all the docs as well whenever getting mine from a fellow SF buddy.

It's the only way to fly with this piece. :angelsmil

Congratulations and thanks a lot for your picture-guide with the comments on each pic.

Congratulations, thanks for the documentation.
Nice Edition number of 222/500

Nice photos. I also scored a legit IM Ex for a good price $625 shipped, without the color box but I could care less.

you paid $1000 now
you sell $1000 later
================

no loss, but only gain thrill and excitement in owning it

Congratulation. This is my favorite stance of all time from Iron Man.

Ski what do you think of Namor?

I still like him man, I need to post pics I just got him. Of course the face could be better but I still love him, goes great with my Iron Man Com. :rock

Trident freaking rocks though, makes it a total different piece. I would say to all that might get him do not go without the Ex version.

edit: I don't really care much for the green fungus pieces but I'll display them on there for now... it doesn't make it or break it for me.

hey everyone-

thanks for the kind comments. i saw this as an unusual opportunity to document this comiquette opening with photos as most people probably did not do it a few years ago when the chance of high-quality recasting was less frequent. feel free to add comments to the flickr pictures if you wish. thanks!
