I asked the postman if there was a form that he could sign saying it was delivered with this damage, and he said there isn't one, shrugged, and just walked away with no apology or anything! :slap

Most everything in the box was crushed, creased or damaged in some way! It was supposed to be 30 starter sets (DVD plus artbox)... only 14 of the 30 were still in the box, and 12 single DVD's, of which only 3 were there, so missing almost 2/3rds of the contents!!! And keep in mind, these were are new and still sealed when packed!

The good news... they were dirt cheap and the eBay seller is already sending replacements!!! :rock

Seriously, the USPS can deliver something like this with no remorse or acknowledgment that it was their fault??? Even FedEx will put a sticker on the box admitting it was damaged in transit and it was their fault.

It's been a long time since the Pony Express. You know, when the postal service had a sense of honor.

Looks like you picked a good seller though.

That's ridiculous. They obviously tried to patch it up by the looks of the tape job. Glad to hear the seller is being cool about it.

Wow, that is unreal. Probably one of the worst cases of damage I have seen. Only thing that beats this is Ace Ventura's delivery at the beginning of Pet Detective.

Yeah, I've bought from the seller before on Amazon Market Place, and they are great sellers! The good news, most of these DVD's are from the ADV and Geneon inventory dumps after they went out of business, so they are fairly plentiful and really, really cheap! The seller listed the BIN auctions with more than 10 available of each, so I knew they would easily have replacements! And they were great when I called; agreed to send replacements out right away and all I needed to do was send them the pictures so they could file a claim with the Post Office.

To see that happen to Macross tears my heart out. Sorry dude. :(

If is definitely the worst damaged package I've ever received... well, except that one time when our company ordered a set of rails for a rack-mounted server from dell, and UPS delivered an empty box with a big hole in the end!!! :rotfl

That sucks man, glad it turned out okay though. Working at UPS we constantly had to tape up packages, some of them were really F/ed up but we still had to deliver them. The customer is supposed to refuse delivery but it sounds like the USPS guy wouldn't have taken it back anyway.

Good thing you didn't order porn. :monkey3

One day a box split open and spilled porno mags all over the slide. Productivity went way down that day :p

Wow....how could they even deliver that?? I would've looked at the postman and said "Really??" This is why I always go with UPS. (closest Fedex/Kinkos is like 20 minutes away)

Here is the really amazing part... it appears that every DVD actually came through without damage and would probably be playable!!! :horror

So, the guy just hated the boxes?
