We're feeling the August chill since our wood-burning heater packed it in last week. We're wondering whether to get the broken parts custom made at a big cost, or replace the whole unit at an even bigger cost... or pick up a gas/electric stop-gap because it's nearly spring. But geez, we typically have to heat our house all the way up to October.

I've done my share of sinning, but no heat for me Maybe it's because the town I live in is just too saintly overall.

There shouldn't be any shortage of sinners to take up a torch - the houses of parliament are just down the road, pot is decriminalised and so is pornography and prostitution. How could we possibly be outnumbered?

I admit, my theory needs some work. But, weather...moral virtue...there has to be a connection somewhere in there. Right?
