Roman will probably leave the WWE in few years once Creative starts booking him badly due to fan support. He's only in the WWE for fame

When Rollins returns. Reigns will be hated even more.

When Sext's drums of his theme-song hits upon his return, the crowd is going to erupt with the equivalent of the Ziggler cash-in or Punk in Chicago.

I've been watching YouTube vids of Big Poppa Pump promos... Been laughing all morning.

That guy, call him what you will, had talent. There's a 20+ vid on YouTube of him "uncensored". It's to die for.

WWE ****ed him.

Steiner Brothers were Classic in my book, whether in WWF or WCW. Big Poppa worked well in WCW. Triple Nose ruined Steiner bPP gimmick due to jealously

I enjoyed the Steiners a hell of a lot until Scott got too stiff (in terms of mobility, not in terms of hitting guys hard) in his later years. Scott was a tremendous mat wrestler at one point, until he morphed into Triple H lite. That team had great matches everywhere, and could wrestle anybody.

The Steiner Brothers vs. Jushin Liger/Chris Benoit (New Japan 4.4.94) - Video Dailymotion

Cactus Jack, Dean Malenko & Too Cold Scorpio vs Eddy Guerrero & The Steiner Brothers (ECW Wrestlepalooza 08.05.1995) - Video Dailymotion

In WWE, they had a great match with Bret and Owen Hart.

I never cared for the Big Poppa Pump stuff. Holler if you hear me. But I do admire Scott's ability to adapt to his changing physical abilities. And really to thrive more from a business POV when he turned into that character, even though his matches were often terrible.

They had to build up Scott because that era of luchadores, NWO and Bischoff were changing the face of WCW and the Steiners gimmick of being Matt specialists were getting old. Ric Steiner was too one dimensional on the mic, so they beefed up Scott because he was the better wrestler.

If the Steiners were around the Attitude Era of the WWF, they probably would've fizzled out with their old gimmick.

Now they did turn Ric Steiner into a pretty good heel in WCW but the company was already suffering so it was too late.

I don't know about you guys. I was pretty much done with WCW around the time Eddie, Dean and Rey showed up and of course Benoit. They made me start liking Nitro again.

But what sealed the deal was watching Scott Hall come out from the audience on Nitro. That night made me a WCW fan again

I was not to into WCW until that same point you mention. I had seen Eddie and Dean in ECW, and it about made my head explode. Of course, that carried over into their work in WCW with Benoit, Rey Mysterio and Psychosis et al. bringing the lucha style in, Jericho, etc.

You are right. The guy was a bit insane.

I'm now watching some Nitro episodes, and they were very entertaining with him on. I miss those days when WWF and WCW were going head to head.

No we get Roman Reings being pushed down our throats every week.

Say what you want about Bischoff, the guy was a genius and he knew what the fans were starting to want at the time. I mean turning someone like Sting who was a carasmatic bundle of energy his entire career into a solemn version of the Crow was amazing. But Vince should get props as well at the time going toe to toe with Bischoff's NWO era with the Attitude Era.

I think Vince Russo destroyed the direction of WCW

Im just really hoping after mania, with zayn and a bunch of NXT guys getting promoted to the main roster, injured guys coming back, will help move away from the "roman empire" quickly. If they stay the course, and dude gets booo'd out the building, it's gonna be a quick demise for him and the product.

Am I the only one that liked The Alliance vs WWF idea. That was genius. I watch some YouTube matches recently from that time and how entertaining was that

The promos alone were perfect

The Rock vs Booker T feud was great!

Rock: " Do you know the answer.. Booker? "

Rock : " 2 + 2 ... Thomas Jefferson Sucka! "

I see Roman leaving in a year or two. I think creative is getting tired of his injuries that happen and the fact he misses too much time from these injuries while they're giving him a push.

I think this is why Ziggler is down the food chain, I've noticed whenever he gets a title push and then he gets injured, it takes him a long time to get over it. To which when he finally returns , they pretty much sink him.

There's just too much talent coming from NXT that they can't worry about injuries.

Roman will be the next Lashley. Looks and body but nothing else. Can't see passion or smarts for ring psychology. Which shows in his matches, just remembering his spots, cant improvise, sell, ect. Fastlane it was easy to see. Take 3 chair shots from ambrose, pop up, spear then win. No selling or anything, even after having been put in a kimura by lesner.

Agree about ziggler, what else kills him too is his 50-50 booking. Or being put in stupid fueds like the rusev one with lana/summer rae. Made him look more heel than face. Another guy wasted by creative.

Shinsuke Nakamura is the reason I'm even more excited for Takeover Dallas! than Wrestlemania :panic:

Still light years ahead of Cena in the ring though :lol Cena is the worst in ring wrestler I've seen since Luger. Roman is just not top guy material, but he could be a good heel. I'd make him a heel an Rollins a face/good guy.

Even when Roman is being "bad" he sucks.

It's just something about the guy.

"Superman punch" has got to be the stupidest thing ever.
