Anyone else notice that the market for 1990-1994 Hasbro WWF figures has gone absolutely crazy as of late?

I think the Major Wrestling Figure Podcast may have led in part to a huge revival of early 90s hasbro figures. They were already becoming more popular but ever since the podcast became a huge hit (with a large focus on hasbros) the market for them has gone up exponentially. I looked into re-buying them a few years ago and for the most part it would not have been that bad (the green backed figures obviously a lot more than the rest save the exclusives) but just did so again the other day and was shocked to see that even fairly common figures are now really expensive.

I never heard of that podcast. I?ll check it out.
My experience is I had these about 50 of these guys (Loose) for the past 30 or so years. Forgot about them uNtil about two years ago. At that time I looked up their value on eBay and they we going for pretty cheap and it wasn?t worth it to sell them (cause I?d get a couple bucks each after shipping). While home during Quarrantine I decided to restore my old blue ring. During this process I was looking at the ebay sales for these figures and compared to what they were 1-2 years ago they have all gone up like CRAZY, exponentially like you said.
I went to my LCS asking about figures they just put up on Facebook and the owner said he could stock his entire store so these things he would cause the demand is sooooo high. He said he hasn?t seen anything like it in a LONG time. Literally 10 messages about them a hour after he posted them and he said they are the #1 Requested vintage toy,
Hands down. No matter where they?re being sold online or INstore they fly the shelves IMMEDIATELY.
As a collector I found this sudden market change to be very interesting.

The podcast (which is shown on youtube) is by Matt Cardona (aka ex WWE wrestler Zack Ryder) and Bryan Myers (aka ex WWE wrestler Curt Hawkins). They both have an infectious love of wrestling figures and it's quite an entertaining show. They did a three hours special on the history of the hasbro figures during the lockdown which is worth checking out. There show has in large part been about going out to specialist stores and hunting for those wrestling figures from your childhood to display in adult collections or to play with in your figure feds. Everyone who tunes is either a fan of the pair or wrestling figures or both and I have to think that seeing these guys get all the hasbros again is making others want to go out a grab a piece of that nostalgia first hand and re-buy their own collections too. It also has to help that the generation who played with the figures now have that disposable income to re-buy them. That and the figures are just really unique and cool looking even to this day.
