because sideshow makes no money and it will cost to much to set up a display come on what a croc of s##t. they are a multi million dollar business, I'm pretty sure they can spend a couple thousand dollars to show up and market their product.

It would cost Sideshow way more than just a couple thousand to setup at NYCC like they do at SDCC. One of the big reasons they probably don't go is to keep their staff focused on product development and release dates instead of marketing. They get plenty of exposure to their customer base through the weekly newsletter, online events, and SDCC.

A booth would cost them probably way more the 10k just for floor space and required cleaning, security etc. Not to mention the cost to have that booth build by corrupt union labor at a rate of 200-300 an hour. The cost if you want electricity is even more. Dont forget you pay for each crate, pallet etc. delivered to your both from the dock. Each person would cost $1500-2000 not including the fact they aren't getting normal job done during this time. Shipping their booth would likely be another big chuck of change.

I would guess SDCC costs them at least 50-75k.
