Starlord de Plume. 3A ThreeA-style figure based on Starlord from GotG

Advice needed.

Sup guys.

My question is, how do I dye or paint the fabric? Do I use textile paint? Acrylic? Wut? Any advice, tips or tutorials you could share with me would be much appreciated, I want to get a colorway similar to the one you see in the art in the pic.

So I'm making a Starlord de Plume figure out of a WWRp DIY Grunt, based on Starlord from Guardians of the Galaxy with a 3A style twist, I have most of my accessories and clothing ready.

Head sculpt will be most likely original from scratch or a Grunt/De Plume modified head, also the guns will be different from the regular 3A guns.

This is just me, but I usually do an acrylic bath. Gets the job done usually.

Yeah, dye is definitely the way to go for big pieces. I use acrylics for smaller things, scarves and the like.

Anyway, I finished my custom before the movie was released, I loved the movie but I'm not crazy in love with the character, so I might sell it or auction it.
