ThreeA 3A style Rags Morales nu52 Supaman!

Hello guys.

So a few days back I got an idea that stuck in my head quite strongly, I was reading the new 52 action comics and I thought: "well I want a figure of that", but there's no such thing yet.

So I took it upon myself to make me a nice custom, a 1/12th size cause portables are my weakness, but I have zero experience in such craft, so it was a little intimidating at first, but anyway...

This is what I'm going for:

But obviously with a very 3A vibe.

I have a 1/12 diy the plume coming in the next days so I figure to use that body, the boots, maybe resculpt the hands and make the head sculpt and clothing from scratch.

This is what I got so far, the design of the head sculpt, a preliminar sculpt made in silly putty (I'm waiting for my apoxie to arrive in the next couple of days).

This is the 2nd silly putty sculpt I made. looks a little fat but I think I'll get a hang of it by the time I get the real thing, the 1st sculpt I made looks so crappy I won't even let you see it haha.

And I printed the designs of the "S" chest symbol on several pieces of cotton for the tees and the cape, which I will show you once I take some pics.

So what do you think guys? Any advice will be well received, thanks for looking.

Like I said this is my very 1st custom, don't have experience sculpting or drawing for that matter but I think I'm giving it a good 3A feel IMO.

Have to admit to having a bit of a thing for ThreeA

Looking forward to seeing how this goes.

As a positive critique I have to say, while I see the 3A style in your sculpt I don't see much Superman.
I think he needs a stronger chin. You could keep the 3A asthetic of angular lines but maybe chisle those cheekbones more and add to the jawline?

Still 100% better than I could do though!

Darth, yeah that's what I was thinking, it's just a prototype, definitely will try to implement a more chiseled look, working on the my 3rd HS right now.

Don't be too hard on yourself after a week of intensive tutorial viewing and silly putty sculpt I think I managed to discover a hint of hidden talent

Hey guise, so I have more pics, today I worked a bit of the 3rd sculpt (which I will not show until it's done) and try doing some tees, which came up real nice I think, plus some pieces of fabric for the cape and more tees to make in the future.

I think I overdid the weathering on the blue shirt, it ended up fading the "S" patch a little bit, I'll be careful with that in next attempts but I do kinda like how the "patched" logo looks to the chest.

That's the plan, I'm gonna start messing with the cape tomorrow, I'll try to engineer a way to put some wires in it, to pose it, and maybe a new blue t-shirt.

DOOOONE, I'm rapt by how much I like this ****er.

It had a BLAST making this little sugar, I may improve it over time, with details, I'm definitely making casts of the head just in case, any tutorials you can recommend to do this?

Cape is wired, it's got the black S and it's detachable.
