Watch the opening titles from Prometheus to get a good feel for Icelandic geography. It's beautiful but certainly not Hoth.

Iceland is just outside the Arctic Circle, but Greenland is in the Circle for the most part, so yeah. . .Iceland ain't as bad, but it would still be way too cold for me.
