Hey guys, I may be leaving for college soon and was wondering if its fine to just leave the art prints framed up and hanging on the walls for the long term or should i take em down and put them into storage?

I would think they'd be fine left hanging so long as they won't be exposed to light the whole time and there aren't any klutzy people around who might knock them off the walls.

Leave them hanging.. If nothing else than for insurance purposes. Homeowners insurance will generally cover artwork you have hanging on the walls. Artwork in storage will likely need additional or different insurance.

Does anyone know anything about this it is glass and its a comic con exclusive but it is onsale at SWS right now. It looks pretty cool. I may get one. What is everyones opinion on this?

All my marquee -sized Drew Struzan Prequel / Special Edition posters are in storage, but I do have this one thing hanging next to my Jabba...

It's an over-sized comic, older than my girlfriend, and well-worn. THis thing has been loved and is truly vintage.

The only benefit to storing framed prints is that it reduces the prints' exposure to UV light, which fades the image. Make sure they are stored where the temperature is reasonable.

Hey, I have that comic buried in a box at the bottom of my closet. I guess I should get it out and have it framed.

I know! First thing i thought when I pulled it out. The artist was obviously using the Don Post mask for reference. I love the colors and dynamics of the whole thing, though. I wish I had the ROTJ one. It'd go a lot better with my Jabba.

I like it because it's kitschy. Don't feel the need to do it just because the cool kids are doing it. Be yourself!

Saw these at Acme's sight and personally I wish I could add them to go with my Wartime Propaganda piece from CE :

This one reminds me of the old Star Wars Ice-block packets back in the 80's

Just got this over the weekend. Commissioned piece by Jeff Confer, an absolutely super talented artist and gentleman. I'll definitely be going back for more. Size is 14" x 16" is
