Okay, so my costume certainly wasn't original...but I did win first place in the party I went to. That's gotta mean something, no? :D

Here I am as Bank Robber Joker:

Hands down you're the best looking Joker that i've seen.

You deserved that prize and if you were at the contest that I was sitting on as one of the judges you also would've received my vote.

Good Job....

Gotta ask galactiboy, what's up with all the monkey stuff??

Just one of my interests I guess... always really liked and have been fascinated by apes so that's influenced the colleting a bit (differnt 1/6 Ape figures) and figured it couldn't hurt to be Gorilla this year :rock

crasis, WOW!!!:horror:horror:horror

Did you get the "Dark Knight" makeup artists to help you out, cause the scars look real. That is definitely the BEST costume and portrayal of Joker I have seen so far.
"Wanna know how I got these scars?"

From one Joker to another...might I add a few points?

First, thats badass. I love it. Second....the mask..HELL YES...

But my cons...ok....

The black should be a bit thicker, and rounder...and I like the scars, but I dont like how its kinda rough along the edges.

But really, other then that, its fantastic. Better then mine, easily. :D

Thanks for the kind words guys! :) I had a LOT of fun that night.

I was purposely late to the party so I could walk in as if I was actually robbing the place with my best Ledger impression: "Good EVENING, ladies and gentle..men. I'll be this evenings...ENTERTAINMENT." And of course, I didn't remove the Bank Robber mask until the place got briefly quiet and I gave the "I believe...whatever doesn't kill you simply makes you...STRANGER" speech to a round of applause. I don't think people expected me to go the extra mile with the makeup under the mask. I handed out some custom made Joker cards throughout the night. The crowd got a kick out of it.

My wife is an incredible makeup artist (she used to be a pro at MAC), so I was lucky enough to have her agree to spend some time working on me. I bought one of those Rubies joker paint/scar kits, but it was so cheaply made that it offended her ( :lol ), so she threw most of the stuff out and used professional makeup instead. We started with the Rubies latex scars as a base, but then applied fake skin putty to further achieve the look and blend the latex bits better into my cheeks. I was actually running a bit TOO late to the party, so I had her speed up the process. In the end, I LOVED it, but she wanted to spend another 45 minutes on the makeup (she's a perfectionist...heh).

BTW, the closeup shots of my face with the scars looking a bit rough/on the fleshy side were taken at the VERY end of the night, after I was laughing/talking/eating all evening. The scars were not designed for that kind of movement, and I had to press them back into my skin to stay put. As a result of me doing that for the 10th time, the white makeup began to come off. At the beginning of the night, the look was far more film accurate.

That's awesome, crasis! I am sick to death of the Joker but your makeup fantastic. Kudos to your wife....making a joker costume stand out this year was no easy task.

I know I'm a little late but this was my costume. Was going for a Female Mad Hatter look.

Pix taken at work ... this one was my working look.

After work I was going to hang out with friends so I changed out of my pants.

Well here are a couple pics.

My buddy Chris as the Ghost that Rides. We had orange glowsticks in the neck which looked awesome in the dark. No pics turned out good though.

Me and my wife. She hates having her pic taken. We had teeth, but they keep falling out.

Agreed! Dude, I love the look that you both captured. Really works. And I really wish I could see how that GR looked in the dark, really creative way of doing that. :rock
