I finally managed to make it work. Thanks for your help. This is my first attempt to modify a head using LEDs. I did mine in a different way by running a cable behind his neck and control the LEDs by a small switch which is covered by the cape. This is because I don't want to dettach the head everytime I want to turn the LEDs on and off. It is a bit sloppy though. I did a trial and error in trying to fit the wires, neck joint adaptors and the LED lights in the head. I will still try to improve this and minimize the cables and try to attach a micro switch behind his head.

The lights look good but the wiring is a bit long. I use watch batter holders. It's just a fraction neater, but still hangs down the back and has a little switch on it.
I used the code CSUMMERFUN2016 ($15 off a purchase of $75 or more) on eBay to pick up this figure NIB for $152 shipped. It's not the exclusive version, but I'm not really interested in having a damaged Metallo head anyway. I've wanted the figure for a year or so, but I'm really cheap and wait for deals, if I can get them. I can't wait 
I was tempted to pick this up from Popcultcha 2 weeks ago with their sale. Would've been I think just under $150 shipped to US, but I still just cant get past that over sized noggin and 50 year old face.. ... I just want a nice comic book look Superman. First, the shoulder joints were extremely tight. I really felt that I was going to break them, but I worked them slowly and got them to rotate without problems. The second issue was with the posts at the end of the waist grabber and crotch grabber on the stand. All four of the posts had burrs on them. I got a pull in the suit from one of them and then noticed that all four needed to be smoothed. So, I fixed the pull in the suit by lightly stretching the suit in the area. Then, I got a file and lightly sanded down the rough edges on the ends of the posts. Everything is good to go now. I'm going to try to get some more dynamic poses (especially with my SSC Batman figures) in the next few days, but here are a few pics of some basic poses.

just realized I never shared pics of my modified Superman:
It's a bit of a Frankenstein if you will.
Most of it is a SS batman Gotham Knight body.
The forearms are from the SS Superman Body
The upper torso/neck are from SS Superman body with a larger chest sculpted on
Finally, the ankles are from the SS Superman body
I also modified the belt loops on the trunks for a cleaner look

That's actually why I'm getting the bootleg. I want to resculpted the body completely.
BTW, the thread that was supposed to stay open to prove that buyer will be scammed has mysteriously disappeared! Whoosh! Gone without a warning!
When I get the fig, I'll try to review it here then, and if I can't, I'll try and do it at OSW. I think it should be here by the end of the week or early next week.

Have you tried a head swap? It might make the SS one look a bit better with a fractionally smaller head.
That's fair enough. Usually if it's a not HT/SS style peg, the head can be dipped in boiling water for a minute and it will pop off.
I'd try it, but as you are the one who paid for it, you probably won't want to, lol
