i decided what the hay, its worth puttin in $1.00 every week i go to get gas, I'm only 22, but man, i could just imagin all the collectibles i could buy if i ever won :joy.........a guy can dream :monkey3

I occasionally pick up tickets for my grandmother. Needless to say, I havent won anything big yet.

When I was 8 or 9, I actually filled out a ticket for her and won 2 grand. my parents took it and put it in the bank, but I think they bought me a Super Nintendo game with it. :monkey2

I play... buy myself Mega and Super lotto tickets usually a few times a week, plus I get in on any pools that come up at the office.

Probably spinning my wheels and wasting my $$$, but what the hell.... you can't win if you don't play - and if by some miracle my number comes up someday, it'll mean an early retirement!

I'd rather light a dollar on fire every day. It'd be more productive. In California you can literally play lottery every single day as well as a double dip on Wednesday and Saturday. I have relatives who have been playing for 20+ years, same numbers every day (the consistent) and one "quickpick" (the chance) with very minimal return...

I play! Since I don't drink coffee, smoke cigarettes and only drink very occasionally, I need a wasteful vice. I did win $2,000 once and some other here and there. I'm sure I've lost that much if not more though.

good job! i think collecting counts as my vice :lecture, but like others have said, you cant win if you dont play, i dont play the same numbers or anything, just pick them at random, but its exciting, tonight i got the very first number they drew, but nothing after that :(

Collecting isn't a wasteful vice though, you get something in return for that.

I haven't checked mine yet because I just got home.

There used to be a scratch off ticket here in Ohio were you could win a $1,000 a week for life. I'd be very happy to win that. I don't need millions, just enough so I could live comfortably and I could on that.

:lecture:lecture if i won the lotto, i would still work at least part time, just not where i am at now :banghead but thats all i want as well, just be comfortable, i am now, but i would it would be nice to have a house to myself :lol

Everytime I want to buy a ticket, I just remind myself that it would be smarter to save that money and later invest in the stock market.

But I end up buying candy or collectibles for that money instead...

I have played a couple times when it hit 50 million or so but otherwise I don't waste my time or $ with it.

funny story. A few years back the powerball jackpot got to some ridiculous amount, 330 million or somewhere around that amount. People started coming in from out of state to play the odds, office pools got into the thousands, some folks even admitted to dipping into their kids college fund to buy a couple of hundred dollars worth of tickets all in hopes of hitting it big. The winner? a construction worker who purchased a hot dog and a coke who simply asked for is change of around 2 dollars in lotto plays. The guy later said that he purchased to tickets just cause everyone else was doing it.

Like someone else stated i dont drink, smoke, do drugs so i really dont have any bad habits to spend my money on so usually i spend about $10 a week on the lottery and hit the casinos twice a year as i enjoy it. I've been very lucky as i''ve hit $10,000, $4000, $2000 and also $1000 and $500 Multiple times over the last decade. It's been about a year since my last decent hit so im due hopefully when i hit the casino next month!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, me and the gf picked some numbers so I buy a ticket twice a week.

I know people call it "the stupid tax" but I figure I can spend an extra few bucks a week more on tax and not really notice the difference! Besides, even if it's hardly a chance, it's still a chance... That dream of winning millions every time you buy it is worth a couple bucks to me.

Yeah, I play some lotto games in NYC and some scratch off. However, sometimes I like to go to Atlantic City and play some $ 0.25 and $ 0.01 slots.

I won like 6 times $ 40 of the scratch off games for the past year but nothing major.

In Atlantic City my biggest jackpot was $ 600 on a 5X 0.25 machine. However, my last 3 trips were "waste of money" :(

Ah well...you live only once.

$10,000, $4000, $2000 and also $1000...are you freaking kidding me? That's awesome. I wish I could hit something like that. I wonder what machines were they?
