another friend of mine was up for building a Dreadnought with me.....But I said NO shock horror!!!

Well just a quick hit on star wars tonight.... Body swap and paint up of Aayla Seccura.
Still can not get my head around this prosaide stuff doing me sweed in a bit but it looks ok.... well in dime light and at 100 yards

She looks amazing m8 and the mix for the 1st batch is 50% pro and 50% paint. then do a few coats of 20% pro and 80% paint so its not sticky. Thats what i did anyway.

:horror That space marine is awesome!!! I don't care if it's out of scale, still an incredible piece of work. You guys should probably open your own 1/6 figure company together, since you are masters of taking a bunch of raw materials and a 1/6 body and turning them, from the ground up, into a 12" figure that has never been done before!

Aayla looks fine to me, by the way.

Well if it wasn't for Dorgs i never imagined i could even make a space marine tbh. Dorgs really inspires me to get off my botty and have a go :lol

Ok cbob your gyver is the s#@T WOW Love that piece The were wolf and vampire are sweet as hell to and I love love love your capt. America. EPIC!!!

Thanks man i actually intend to do another guyver as im not quite happy with that 1 :lol The werewolf was fun as that was another from scratch sculpt and i learned alot from it.

Im crap at doing human heads they are sooo tough especially trying to capture a likeness. Ive been scultping for less than a year now i think.

In my custom thread you can see my early work aint all that but i think they get better as time goes on.

I've probably been trying to sculpt for almost as long, and can't sculpt a likness if my life depended on it.

Heck, if I sculpted a Luke Skywalker it might look only slightly more like Luke than the Medicom + Enterbay Luke HS... :lol That's pretty bad.

Awesome customs, did you really sculpt that werewolf? He looks very professionally done.

Yeah i sculpted wolfie but i didnt sculpt the teeth i used some off an alien figure, but im sure i could have done them if i was patient enough. Oh i also cut the eyes out of a crappy 1/6 head as well cos eyes are a pain, but not impossible.

:clap That's some top-notch stuff! Way better than anything I've ever sculpted, even if you cannibalised the teeth.

And I think those eyes actually look great, but I'd imagine they'd have been a pain in the arse to paint...

Just the other day as I was undercoating a few 40K space marines I thought to myself - how cool would it be to customize a 1:6 space marine?

Wouldn't you know it, a few days later I pop in this thread and what do I find but a 1:6 marine. Brilliant work as usual guys! Looking forward to the Blood Angel - though my personal fave have always been the Crimson Fists. :rock

Darned fine stuff Cbob.... gonna be amazing...

NOW I gotta say I have not been blown away by a non-custom figure for a while although I think the Emp is great.... Greedo is just stunning!!!!!

Chaka is sending me a greedo but I managed to score a couple of bits to make a custom one.... he is heaven and is just wonderful.....

<img src="https://i441.photobucket.com/albums/qq132/Dorgmal/greedo/greedo10.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

ooowwww mate I need Greedos!!!! He is with out a doubt my most favourite ever SW character.

When I was a wee kid my Greedo came everywhere he was always in my pocket..... until the fateful day he fell out the car window.......

I cried so much that my mum and i went back later........... Greedo was a mess.... only the head a crushed body, one arm and half a leg could be recovered...

He was still my favourite and he was rebuilt with lego and blue tack... I saved my pennies for what seemed like months until I could get another one......
