Eh, 2-3 years would still be 18 or so more figures. That would be a impressive line.

Yea, but the problem is I can think of 18 joes I'd want without even touching cobras roster.
I never liked the dios and PF stuff when considering the hefty prices but somehow.. they generally wind up selling better than the figs no matter the line. This is a cool piece but for $300 bucks just to look at forever without any new posing options?? .. Nah no thanks

I can't really understand why the harbingers of doom on this board are doubting this line???

G.I Joe is figures first, end of. SSC knows this, every month they're bombarded with figure requests and suggestions. Not only is the 12 inch line not slowing, its picking up pace!

The dios are a goos idea from SSC's perspective as they can create really cool G.I. joe versus cobra scenes. I think its more experimental than anything and just an example of Sideshow trying to do new things with the license. I cant see there being too many dios each year.

I also think this diorama betrays the soul of this line. After all, since 1982 GI Joe: A Real American Hero has been about action figures and nothing but action figures.

I know no true fan has ever bought a Joe product that wasn't a highly articulated action figure and I don't plan to start now.

Of course, because arguably they've been pushing the 1:6 line to promote the dio. And when the dio lines are running smoothly enough, don't think they won't drop the 1:6 line to go full blown into polystone.

I have no knowing of the inner circle of things but I feel like I can say with 110% guarantee they won't just drop the 1:6th line for Dios. Just not gonna happen.
