Was this character seen onscreen in Solo in the Mimban battle (I think there was a similar guy on the beach planet toward the end)? It's a cooler looking design.

You only saw the Mimbanese warrior in silhouette in the movie. If you see the extended cut of the movie you see a few more. I understand why they chose to cut the scene as it would look kind of bad that the ?good guys? were killing off Mimbanese freedom fighters with no remorse.
But there?re great pictures of them in the Solo book.

And yes, there was a Mimbanese in the end as well.
The head comes from Shapeways and is made by Mati. It?s a great sculpt though the back of the head is not totally correct. You don?t see the back in the movie or in any of the pictures, but in the SW pinball game you do see that the back head extends out a bit. I intended to sculpt the back more accurate, but I decided to leave it as you don?t really see it on display.

Upgraded my Mimbanese with a chest rig

So years I?ve been thinking that TFA Chewbacca was the worst HT figure ever made. But I really felt like I needed a Chewie for my Solo Han and found guides how to mod the TFA Chewie into something passable. So I bought it expecting an abomination that would need a lot of work... just opened him up. And he?s so SO much better than I had imagined. Actually I think he might be better than ANH Chewie that I also have. They might not all be equally good, but I don?t think I need to cut this one open to make him preventable.
Right out of the box (he?s really hard to take pictures of...):
